No it wont, they stop adding monster set to golden vendor rng table after certain patch. Too much hasle I think.

So there's no way of getting the helm unless you're 300+ co?D:

You only have to be cp300+ to use the dungeon finder. You can still form your own group below that and port directly to the dungeon.

The CP restriction is only for the group finder. There is nothing to prevent you forming a group and walking or porting right in. It’s a super fun dungeon with at least one fun set (Aegis Caller) and well worth doing in vet (although I would be CP160+ just to make sure you got useful loot).

But no, the chances of it coming up in the Golden’s limited repertoire before you hit CP 810 are non-existent.

No, it won't. At least for now. Kjalna's Nightmare is a set dropping from a recent DLC and the supposedly "random" algorithm won't allow it to drop. ESO would lose money that way.

It's been 1.5 years and we still haven't seen sets like Stonekeeper....

Gold vendor is said to be an "RNG" vendor. With that beeing said, it was debunked by players and it is for 100% sure that Gold Vendor is not RNG based. It is some one at ZOS deciding what goes there.

There were numerous examples of sets being nerfed next update and a very suspicious apperances of said sets at Gold Vendor, just before they were getting nerfed.

"Newest" monster set helmet that we had there was Vykosa / Balorgh. Theose set were from Wolfhunter DLC - almost 3 year old content. The only monster helmet that did not appered there, but should is Stonekerper helmet (shoulders did there). It is an old set, and as far as I know it was nerfed, so it has a good chance of making its way to gold vendor.

As for newer sets ? We can forget it. At least for now. ZOS made a wierd decion that we had to re-grind old content (vMA / vDA drama). Also, they said that current set changes will be retro-active, meaning that you wont have to re-grind them... Indicating that it is 100% pissible for ZOS to make non retroactive changes that will require set re-grind...

I don't think so. Monster helms still drop, it's only that sets are from old content. If they put recent sets, people wouldnt buy dungeon dlc.

    Hey Tommy

The Golden may be rng based, but the list it draws from seems quite selective. Very few DLC hats (which is really no surprise) and a strange occurrence of popular sets becoming suddenly available just before getting a good nerfing. The inclusion of DLC shoulders merely encourages PvPers to play the DLC content.

There are many DLC sets that have never been there, Zaan for instance. But, again, ZOS aren’t going to kill off their DLC content just to keep a few PvPers in alphagear.

Stonekeeper might feel real old, but it’s less than 18 months since Frostvault came out and barely a few weeks since it stopped being a buggy f-ing mess.

Totally agree about vMA gear, there was no reason (aside from being bloody minded) for ZOS not to upgrade everyone’s vMA weapons. Or provide some kind of tokens from new vMA runs to upgrade the ones you already have. That was just rude.

Tbh. Primary reason I don't bother with dungoen DLC sets - are nerfs. Not the dificulty or time sink or cash. But I don't want to repeat that momen when I paid RL cash for DLC, spend a lot of time & effort into farming sets (time that btw. I am not getting back), only to have those sets nerfed into dust 1 month later...
ZOS did it to itself. I don't trust them. They change mind way to often. Once certain set appears at gold vendor however - only then it is more or less "save" - since it happens after some nerfs and ZOS has better sets on the way.

Wolfhunter was from August of 2018. It will be 2 years old next month.

They’ve clearly made drastic changes from the days of Veli and Chudan showing up the month or two after their DLC pack was released, but the gap hasn’t quite hit 3 years yet.
