collections tab question

so i subbed to eso plus..when i go into the collection tab and on the side it has Chapters, dungeon DLC and zone DLC..so i click on zone dlc and it gives me a list of places like dragonhold or murkmire thieves guild etc etc..i click on say like dark brotherhood and it gives me two options.. accept quest which accepts the quest insted of me going to a NPC and unlock permanently.

what exactly does does unlock permanently do?

It does exactly what it says - lets you purchase the DLC so you have permanent access to it.

At the moment you have access to all DLCs as long as your subscription is active but if you ever cancel ESO+ you will lose that access. You'll keep any progress you've made, including items you've gained, but won't be able to go back to the maps or make further progress. If you choose to buy a DLC then it's part of your account forever and you won't have to pay anything more to access it.

Which option is right for you depends on your preferences. If you want the other subscription benefits and you're not likely to play much while unsubscribed there's no need to buy DLC because you'll always have access to it anyway. But if you don't plan to keep the subscription all the time, or you find you only want permanent access to some DLC areas and it's not worth the cost it might be better to buy the ones you do want.

Of course you don't have to decide now. Since you're currently subscribing it's something you'll only need to think about when your sub time is coming to an end and you're not planning to renew it. One approach some people take is to subscribe for a while and use that time to try out all the DLC then buy the ones they really like.
