Thrassian Stranglers stopping fishing for it got nerf to the ground

Well I was fishing to get the Thrassian Stranglers but I stopped going for it. Not going to fish for hrs only to have it nerf then it will be worthless. I think the devs like getting people angry. They must get a trill doing it as they always do it.

Tanis-Stormbinder✭✭✭✭✭PTS patch notes, Thrassian Stranglers:
Reduced the Spell Damage granted per stack to 92, down from 150.
Reduced the penalties per stack to 1%, down from 2%.
The stacks from this set now last 30 seconds and refresh every time you gain a stack, rather than being permanent.
This set now also grants Weapon Damage.

✭Removing the stacks being "permanent" would have been well enough, i.e. that they don't just remain for 30 seconds - but stay there until you die, sneak, travel to other area or whatever. Reducing the damage is a bit too much.
But this is a TYPICAL example. ZOS always overdo things, first off in actually ever CREATING this item, then realizing it was completely silly; and instead of just like making the stacks disappear after 30 seconds - they decrease the damage from 150 to 92, AND make the stacks remain for just 30 seconds. I mean... What's that medical label again, for people who always act this way? It's actually considered a "mental function variation", or whatever it's called today - to never be able of predicting the results of your actions.
But in honesty: The players are still not much better: "IT GOT NÖRFFED TO THE GROUNDD! I'M QUITTING THE GAME!!!!", yeah. But what other set ever gave you +1800 Spell (and now Weapon) damage like that? Everyone ****** their pants and went to Cyrodiil for months for Spell Strategist, paid +1M for a Flame Staff, and about the same for gold jewelry - for 700 damage on a SINGLE target; now you get the same Spell damage for ALL targets for half a minute, for killing like what? 7 trash mobs?
I mean yeah, 1800 vs 3000 is a big difference, but there's still nothing that compares. You can't wear a monster set that compares to that either, and no other 5 piece set instead afaik.
I know you are disappointed and all, but this is how ZOS do it. All. The. Time. Without any exceptions whatsoever.
They need to stop this, and act like sober/sane people in the first place - if you couldn't predict this was a bad idea in the first place, you don't have a place in developing a game. It's just that simple. It's making us waste our time farming sets that will change anyway, and make people very disappointed every time. It's so easy to avoid, just use common sense.20 -

Tanis-Stormbinder✭✭✭✭✭I could live with the reduce damage but the stacks disappearing after 30 seconds until you get your next kill, kills this set. ✭Is anyone actually surprised? Mythic items were a great way to get people involved in the game that had burnt out in other areas, but they had to overdue it in order to make people really invested. You had to have known the pendulum was going to swing back...it always does with their changes.7 -

✭Set is nerfed because people bypassed the downsides making it simply another requirement for score pushers. And with today's fix that you cant generate stacks by killing your pets or recasting ball of lightning its back in line with other gimmick sets.
My guess is that Malacath ring is next in line.1 -

It would be a nice Opportunity for those playing in a save way, without dying all the time, but hey, there are no other opportunities to make it crap! You can lower the dmg per stack, keep the amount of vulnerbaility and go on. But no, there must be a 30 second timer, to lose the stacks if not killing another add in this time (wont work in Raids). Why is the cap then 20? For grinding trashmobs? Sry, but this is one of the worst changes i have ever seen. "Hey we got mystic items!" "And what makes them special?" "NOTHING!".

Kittytravel✭✭✭✭✭The 30 second duration is only bad because it requires landing a KB. If the KB requirement was removed and instead became "On assist" then this would still be a viable piece but as it stands now it just ramps up too slowly and falls off too quickly to be of use because it's hard to guarantee those KBs.
The rest of the changes I think are wholeheartedly justified and are healthy changes; the addition of any duration is just way over the top.4
