✭✭✭I've been using False Gods + Mother's Sorrow since FG was a thing.
My magwarden loves Draugrkin, Spell Strategist, Elemental Succession, and Caluurion's Legacy. I'm really interested to see whether the buffs to War Maiden make it worth using (bc of our existing buff to magicka damage already), and though I'm guessing it won't be BiS anytime soon, Mad Tinkerer will likely be strong enough to run for fun. There's that new set that applies elemental weakness and increases crit by 6% for each element; with our frost damage increase, it's going to be really strong on magwardens. It may be the same for sorc since your strength is lightning.
I think there will be a wide range of viable sets now, so you probably will end up having options.0 -

I’ve only tried the War Maiden on my MagDK since the patch and it’s only purple. I used it while farming my MS. My other set is Julianos. It performed OK but I feel like I get more out of MS, though folding it out and running a few parses side by side would probably be a better way to check the numbers. Maybe I can look into it later if I have time. I’ve been working my magplar and stamwarden the last couple days.0 -

✭Siroria looks better for actual play rather than dummy humping now. Majority of players don’t stand in their Siroria stacks for the full time to maximize spell damage uptime. This change gets better mileage out of the set for most players who don’t just stack and burn. It also makes it more viable for dungeon content which demands more movement of DPS than trials.0 -
I think this iteration will be better for mag dps than the current live version... I'm not swapping it out just yet.1
