We Need A New Weapon - Enter the Fist

So ZoS we've gotten new classes, which is great. Warden and Necro are fun. But what I'm really itching for is a new weapon. Weapons are great and a new one wouldnt require a new toon to use. So it would be great if we got one.


I'm thinking Claws (Hand to Hand). Base the lore of it as based on a mix of khajiit Claw-Dances and Nord brawling. It would be great, you could make the first passive, usually the damage boosting passive, make it where base damage is based on the highest resource, which would make it a viable option for stam and mag alike. Let it boost both like one handed weapons do and you'd be set. As for active abilities, 2 be stam, 2 mag, but with morphed that swap so all skills can be used by all builds. As for the 5th skill and ultimate, I don't know something of a useful utility and something flashy respectively. Maybe the 5th could give like a Major Evade and Empower if hit for a few seconds, like the classic monk counter. I'm just spitballing here.


And if you wanted to be super nice, upon leveling it to 50, let it unlock an invisible weapon style so I can beat Tamriel into submission with my bare fist like I've always wanted. And I'm sure theres more then a few who want to be hand wizards.

    But next xpac they better give us atleast one melee mag weapon skill line and spears for stamina :wink:

    Yeah but I want a viable way to do content like Titan Maximum.

    So much yes. Played punchcat in Skyrim as my main playstyle. They already added cool looking unarmed moves in southern elsweyr.

    Im really hoping for a Sword and rune weapon skill line. where you will wield a 1 handed sword in one hand, and a magic rune in the other to cast spells. and it would ofc recover magica with heavy attacks and not stam.
    Basically a Melee/semi melee mage type.
    Could have different runes for different elements, even healing.

    Actually the Elf in the summerset cinematic trailer does this. You see her have a 1 handed sword and still casting fire abilitys with her other hand.

    The next weapon is more likely going to be magicka based. Looking at the weapons available it makes complete sense Zos would add another magicka based damage weapon before even considering a stamina one or fists. Having three stam damage weapons to only one mag made sense at launch when there were no class skills with a stam morph. Now most skills with damage as a focus have a stam morph.

    OMG. Love it - but, umm... this archaic engine can’t handle the calculations of it’s already intended results - let alone new skills / math. Ugh.

    Thrassian Strangler as a no-weapon Class for ONE Patch duration, anyone?

    Stamina already has three weapon types. Magicka only has one. We need something besides staves!
