I think at least a week would be better, but honestly a month would be acceptable.

You're also allowed to change the dates if needed. No one's going to stay mad if you have to move a date back due to issues beyond your control.

Lol, nope. "I took some days off just for the event, how dare you move it!" and stuff.

There will always be these types of posts.. But they are always less than the "I scheduled to work this weekend, wish I would have known sooner"

It seems to be that events get announced with shorter and shorter notice...not sure if this is simply a consequence of the workload and work processes or a deliberate decision...
I wouldnt mind knowing about events 4-5 days in advance...

I especially disslike live stream announcements one day in advance as it can be tricky to make room for them...

Not sure about it, but maybe the angry ones are just much louder.
Personally, I'd gratefully take a whole calendar of dev-confirmed approximate dates if there was one

4-5 days or a week is plenty of notice for smaller event. 2weeks on larger holidays. a month would be a bit ridiculous. Also, no. We don't want them in the habit of changing dates on us a million times. That is NOT a good precedent to let them set. because what is the point of giving us a date range a month in advance (which, btw, if you read the crownstore showcase it wasn't super hard to infer this was coming in the later half the month sometime if you enjoy them vague-posting) if they decide to change it last minute? That's more annoying than just confirming date a few days before.

Depends on how much you get into the smaller ones, honestly. I've done 31 dailies on 15 characters for summerset, waiting to turn in. For a lot of those characters I had to spend hours waiting for help killing world bosses because they just weren't geared up to solo B'Korgan or the Gryphons.

But its more than that. With the release of several crown store items for the event, I have to make sure I have enough crowns and not spend my money on Nightfall crates.

Most people don't get this involved but for me the anxiety is in not being as prepared as I can be.

I don't want them to change dates either but its really up to them and I'd rather know something specific and then if they have to change it later then give us enough time to adjust our schedules.

Just another QOL suggestion from WOW...how about an in-game calendar for the entire year showing every event, with the ability to make notes and add your own guild events? Just thinking outloud...

i didn't know about the midyear until the day before. They do throw hints out a month ahead of time but the don't announce it over the PA or throw any pre event parties like they used to.

That would indicate that they have a plan of any sort to begin with. We never know when anything will really happen because it could be broken half of the time.
