PC - how do you turn down spell effects? (performance)

Hi all - Performance question

I got smooth FPS in most of my game but when it comes to trials with tons of effect on the screen or certain DLC dungeons my FPS tank due to all the spells and effects on the screen.

Is it possible to turn down spell particles af effects? It would do wonder for performance....

I want to keep nice looking textures but don't need to see a million particles during spells and attacks.

Just the way it is, nothing you can do that will make a major difference, especially if your gaming rig is decent already. The settings with the red dots next to them you may try turning down in Video settings might help a little bit but again, it's not going to be drastic.

Maybe others can chime in with some other ideas (like editing config files, etc).
