Type of weapon and trait for pve?

Hi, so i always have this question in my mind which 2handed weapon is better for 4 man content

Axe gives you a nice bleed

Sword gives you a flat increase in your damage overall

Maul gives you 20% penetration which is nice, since in a 4 man group the pen cap wont be there most of times

And also I cant decide which trait is better.

Precise is amazing since Stam usually dont have high crit chances

Sharp have the same maul logic

Nirnhooded is damage, which is always good

And infused power up your glyph.

Since I came from Mag builds that mostly use precise and infused trait i'm rly lost with my Stam dk, I could just follow alcast guides but I want to know why i'm using things, I hope you guys can help me.

I believe axe is a way to go, that bleed gives you overall more dmg then wpd increase from sword (you can forget about maul in pve all together). As for the traits - precise or sharpened would work just fine, difference between two isn't that big, tho with precise you'll get more dps in balanced raid.

For single target damage axe is the best for the consistent bleed damage. For trash fights or aoe, sword is best for the damage boost. For the traits, I believe sharpened is best unless you really dont need the pen for some reason then its precise I think. This is all for 2 hand I'm assuming.

In the new Age of Tremorscale giving Penetration, I don't think that there's much of a reason to consider Sharpened for PvE unless you are PUG'ing with some improperly geared tanks.

So the real consideration is between Nirnhoned and Precise and I believe that Precise wins that due to the way that Critical Damage scales.
