Yah Power Surge USED to be the Mag morph, and Crit Surge was the Stam morph, but now both morphs buff Mag & Stam builds, but Power Surge was changed to a healer skill. So ur head's fine lol they just reworked the skill sometime last year

I know sorc can do vMA with one bar setup, but using your backbar for dots and buffs really helps. You just have to get into the habit to swap to backbar now and then and recast the buffs before expire. And freeing barspace on front bar let you put out more dps skill there.

For the last stage main boss upstairs it's really the dots what you need, if you dot up the crystals then you can focus all your attention to avoid meteors and blast from the boss. When you get up there you have time to drop 3 dots on the nearest crystal before you have to rolldoge the incoming blast (more precisely if I recall correctly: dot, then cast 2nd and 3rd dot while moving away from meteor, then dodge blast) Don't know what mundus you're using, but I found that the steed mundus with the speed bonus really helps upstairs avoiding meteors and downstairs getting out from the aoe.

Downstairs is mainly target prioritisation and getting the feeling of the combat rhythm when to block / dodge / move out the blasts. Before you use the gold ghost synergy try to pull the guard near to the boss, so you can place a destro ult on both of them at the same time. Generally you ult the boss at the beginning to burst down to 70 fast (either at the very beginning if you have enough dps, or after first port when the guard spawn to hit the guard+boss together), and then after you caught the third gold ghost to finish him off.

Way to go! That is the worst stage!

Up until this point I've been using one bar on lightning staff with Flappy Bird, Crushing Shock, Power Surge, Harness Magicka, Bound Aegis and Shooting Star. the very first vMA clear i had, i switched to plague doctor build for final boss, after a few clears you will ditch the build as it is sub optimal, and opt instead for a full dps one instead. However, i strongly recommend the following set-up if you find you are hitting a brick wall on the final.

- Plague doctor jewelry + Front bar plague Lightning staff (infused). Your back bar can be any plague doctor weapon you want as it is not important.

- Necropotence on body.
- ice heart as monster set (valkyn also works nice)

skills = Front bar - scamp, matri(heal morph), hardened ward, wall of elements, daedric prey (comet)
skills = Back bar - scamp, matri, hardened ward, boundless storm, lightning flood (atronach)

How to run it = drop lightning flood, then bar swap and wall of elements, scamp, prey. then you just heavy attack for the win. Use shield often, and burst heal if you get caught off guard. Your boundless storm is great for moments when you need a burst of speed, as this build is anything but mobile, you are essentially a walking heavy attack tank. You can face tank daedroths like this although i dont reccomend it. also you can do all crystals in one go without dropping down. Though if you need to drop down.

tip = never let the summoner guys summon anything, as mobility is an issue playing it tanky, keep the fight to the center as best as possible, shooting off for gold ghosts when you can.

final tip = slot potions and use three stat food. you need the stamina to run and bash the boss as you dont have crushing shock.

That setup sounds kind of fun. I may try it just because. I don't have PFG (trials are where I'm heading next!), but I thought Elemental Succession might be a good thing to farm in the meantime. I'm a little tired of Julianos.

@ArchMikem This bro is a lady. It really is an intense feeling! I don't know if I'll ever be able to run it again, but, who knows, I wasn't sure I could complete it the first time! Even if I don't get the perfected Maelstrom weapon, as you said, having that title to sport is awesome.
