I have a main and a few Alts for fun.
"I have a main and a few alts for fun"

When ESO launched, my main was a Wood Elf Nightblade who roleplay wise is the ancestor to my Morrowind character (a Wood Elf necro thief / assassin). ESO didnt have necros at the time (necros being my favorite class in fantasy RPG's), and I felt Nightblades were the closest, what with their life sap abilities and the shade.

I played it for a bit, coming and going a few times in the early days, until I eventually moved from PC to X-Box and rebuilt the Nightblade, but as a Breton. Again, I played through for a bit until i finally dipped due to burnout. Came back after awhile, a few months after Elsweyr dropped, with a new PC setup so I could play my necro.

My necro has been built into a tank, so my main is a necro tank. I do have a little bit of offensive punch to him, and I can parse around 10k as a tank setup (though I probably do less in actual trials due to the fact that I'm less focused on dealing damage).

My main is a Breton Necromancer vampire tank currently running Leeching Plate armor, Akaviri Dragonguard weapons & jewelry, and Balorgh monster set.

My Nightblade has been rebuilt into a stam dps, but dps is probably the role I'm worst at so he doesn't get much run anymore. Currently he's wearing War Machine armor, Night Mother weapons and jewelry, and I havent decided on a monster set yet. All of these are still far from finalized.

I also created a 2nd tank, a Wood Elf Warden running Imperium armor, Combat Physician weapons & jewelry, and Chokethorn monster set. He started as a healer and respecced to a tank.

I also have a 2nd dps, a mag necro vampire with Phoenix set, Shroud Of The Lich, and Nerieneth.

I also have a Dark Elf Sorc healer, and a 2nd Argonian healer than I am leveling up.

But I mostly run my tanks.

I have a main and a few Alts for fun.
i have a main that does everything and 17 alts that are all level 50 crafters and most at CP. I wanted to have each too different in terms of class and race and builds so each one is unique and fun to play .

A bunch of characters I swap between and I love them all equally.
I have 13 characters, all with their own backgrounds and goals in life. I generally try to only do chapters and DLC on characters who would do those things, and I try to only focus on one piece of story content at a time.

So, for instance, I have my mercenary soldier playing through the Orsinium storyline, while other characters are doing their day-to-day activities, whether it's crafting or larceny or treasure hunting or fishing. When the soldier is done, she'll probably switch to some combat-oriented daily quests to continue her mercenary work, while I take another character through some other story content.

    All the Alts!
I went with all the alts, but I can't say every character is equal. I like some more than others.

As it stands, I have 6 tanks (argonians, one each class), 6 stam dps (all khajiit, one each class), and 6 mag dps (though one of those, my warden is spec'd more as a healer) (all breton, one each class).

My NB tank was my first character ever, so he ended up also becoming my crafter as he had a headstart on learning all the motifs and recipes. (Currently working on a second master crafter though). I used to tank with him a lot more after launch than now though b/c NB tank was a lot more fun back then. My DK tank is probably my 'go-to' tank and has most all of my trial and dungeon clears with other tanks or even dps randomly sprinkled in as I used them in various runs after initial clears. My warden and necro tanks I enjoy. My sorc tank is ok and I really like the templar class, so I want to like my templar tank, but it's a love/hate relationship.

My Magplar is probably what I would consider my "main" if you didn't count crafting or that he wasn't my first created. He's the one I always do the stories on in each zone as they come out and I tend to get a lot of general clears on him for achievements. Also the highest ranked in pvp of all my guys. And one of my go-to DPS when I don't have to tank. But I do like my other magicka dps, magDK I like, especially in pvp. Enjoy my warden set up to heal, seems to offer a lot of group utility. And I have my magblade set up as a vampire and he also does a lot of my thieving stuff. My stam characters I use a lot as well, stamplar and stamsorc I really like for dpsing in PvE, and those two as well as stamden I like for pvp.

In the end, I tend to use all of my characters throughout a month consistently if not evenly. They all do a little pvp, they all do daily writs and are maxed out in crafting lines. They all eventually do all the main questlines in zones (though I take my time and spread this out over the months for something to do) and they've all done silver/gold (except a necro still needs to finish that I believe). They are all geared up, some with a bit more polish and prime gear than others, but they all walk around basically ready to jump into a trial or dungeon in their role or throw on pvp gear and go without having to move a bunch of gear around in the bank between characters and I don't use any of them as mules. And I just play what I'm in the mood for at the time, so it's nice having them all ready to go.
