Text chat crashing

Since the update, text chat has been working on and off. Please fix. Thanks!

Could you go into further detail on exactly what is happening with text chat?

The prompt X button completely disappears. Other times the Y voice chat button disappears as well. Like, you cant pull up chats at all.

If this is still happening, we recommend power-cycling your console before logging in again. This can help with getting UI elements functioning correctly.

@ZOS_BillE I have power-cycled twice now with no change to the missing chat.

For me (XB1EU) there isn't even a text chat option in the social menu and I do not see zone, guild, or group chats in the HUD

Another step that can help is clearing the local save data on the Xbox.

To delete save data on the Xbox One

From the Xbox Home Menu, navigate to My games & apps.
Go to Games.
Highlight The Elder Scrolls Online tile and press the [Menu] button of the controller.
Select Manage Game. Highlight and select Save Data for the desired user.
Select Delete.

Just tried that with high hopes but...nope. Still no text chat option under the Social menu.

Same here, did all the recommended fixes. The X text chat is appearing now, but the keyboard doesnt come up.

Thank you for the updates. At this point we recommend opening a ticket with customer support so this can be looked into further.
