That is just an ends to a means. BOL obviously needs patched immediately. That said, it's really not hard to build stacks. Plenty of places in Cyro with a dozen or so zombies running around. I usually build myself to 10 stacks when I die, and get to 20 by getting KBs on other players. Doesnt take long.
I have been running my sorc with Thrassians for the whole event. To be honest, I don't like overload with it. Mostly, because its just is not needed. A well executed traditional sorc burst is deadly with the gloves against a decent chunk of the playerbase. I prefer to save my ultimates for negates and restos. Resto Ultimate is really nice with these gloves. Doesnt cost a lot and will save you at max stacks.
I toyed with this exact build. Honestly, I think it is overkill. I prefer lich over CA for the backbar, Spinners over VD on the front bar, and Pirate skeleton over Balorghs for the monster. I have tried about every possible combo of those 6 sets. You can still hit 7500 spell damage, pirate skeleton is really nice to offset the gloves, and you get the pen you would get from Balorghs from spinner. You also dont have to worry about proc'ing anything other than a back bar enchant, which I do without thinking anyways.Edited by Oreyn_Bearclaw on July 6, 2020 6:51PM0 -

So with that being said its ez for sorcs to stack up stranglers and frag and ability spam from top of keeps. 18k+ frags.

Tis true. What I will say is to get to that level, you have zero defense whatsoever. All you have to do to that sorc at the top of the keep is hit him with cold fire once and he is done. The problem of course is that the sorc in question can streak around the top of the keep for a minute and be back where he was.
It's a very effective, perhaps the most effective ever, at exploding pugs in messy open combat, basically a back line sniper. Any decent player will wreck you one-on-one unless your first burst gets them (if they are decent, it wont).0 -

✭It works really well in IC so many random mobs running around even unbound my sneak key just so I wouldn’t accidentally lose my stacks. They persist thru loading screens as well. Literally one shot players with leap.0 -
