Murkmire imho did something similar to what TES III Morrowind did, back in the day when it launched. TES III presented to us... an alien looking world with huge mushrooms, that we have never seen before in an other cRPG game. Murkmire did something very similar, but instead of volcanos & ashlands, we got very well designed swamplands with unique landscape biome & atmosphere. And the Lore ? It was top notch. Same as quests (both main & side). Writers & lore masters did excellent job there. It was quality over quantity.0 -

Vvardfenfell I think for visuals and atmosphere. Stonefalls as a specifc zone for story.

I really hate how they handle recurring NPC’s these days. With usually only one line of “Oh hey, it’s you” dialogue. Meeting Naryu again in Morrowind felt kinda weird and awkward due to it.
more stupidity is that major characters give you just "hey I know you" but with statists like Skordo Knife or Gathwen you can have little chats that renew after every quest with him and ask how they are doing0 -

Yeah, minor characters oddly seem to get more dialogue about this. They did Lyris really, really badly in Greymoor imo. We only got one line of dialogue and I think that was only in the prologue. ✭✭✭✭✭Hew's Bane / Wrothgar / CraglornWrothgar definitely, then I'll go gold coast, hew's bane, imperial city, cwc and summerset. Vvardenfell in nice and all but it's mostly because morrowind nostalgia used hard in a plot line I'm afraid.
Least favourite main story would be probably greymoor, don't think i was ever so disappointed about any zone quest lol.0 -
