But in reality, they're just better players than I, I always read the re-cap to see what the player was using and try applying with what I can. Its tough sometime because I feel if the lag was better, I'd have an easier time with it... but when you're mashing the heal button or trying to make that cast but your character just stands there like he's waiting for takeout while your health meter drops like a meteor on your head....yeah...my life (ha)

Bad performance is the number one culprit, and probably a fair amount of actual glitches and such.
But, for a big part - it's about situational awareness, if you die an awful lot, chances are that you don't watch and evaluate the battle enough. You'll have to predict what unfolds, and in time you will know what "classes" to be careful about on your own build, and you will also learn and remember what specific people will woop your you know what almost every single time.
Often - if you want to survive - you will have to let someone get away, or their friends will get you. You will need to pull back, regroup, leave and find another fight or whatever. Not every fight can be won. Sincerely.
