On Xbox NA, unfilled games get back filled fairly reliably. I agree it's not fun to play shorthanded for a portion of a match, but so is adding 5 mins to your queue time due to the deserter penalty.
And who said I accept the situation? I absolutely want ZOS to ensure at, at a minimum, that no match starts when a team only has 2 players.
My suggestion to not leave is not enabling of the problem, rather, it is mitigating it. With matchmaking the way it is, anyone who leaves a match just makes the problem worse. That is enabling behavior. The more people who stay in matches, the fewer unfilled games there will be. One can demand improvements, while still making the best of the situation.
Leaving is selfish, degrades the experience of other players, and exacerbates the problem of unfilled matches. Obviously, I can't stop you from doing anything. The last slots do usually fill up during the match. Not always. But usually. Leaving at the beginning if you're short-handed is probably just making the problem worse for you.
I do agree that being shorthanded is not ideal and something they should fix. But for people who have been doing battlegrounds for years on end; being short a man feels like a walk in the park compared to what we used to go through with premades. So that's probably why a lot of posters find this more of a inconvenience rather than a game-breaking travesty. It's not that we're trying to "enable" the bug - or what ever it is - that's responsible for this happening. We just have a different perspective is all. You still have a decent shot at winning even if your team is down a man if you and your teammates play well - and it's not so bad that the match isn't fun. Just don't take battlegrounds super seriously from a competitive standpoint. If f you do, it's going to drive you nuts. No....they don't. Which is why I stopped staying in the matches. I don't leave at the beginning, I give it a few minutes. If we don't get a backfill in the first few minutes I am not wasting another second of my time. That is not MY fault, it is ZOS's fault for starting the match uneven and not even filling the teams minutes after start.2 -
Rukia541✭✭✭✭✭It is annoying but I've won countless of these as the underdog at least in 2nd place, its very possible due to the nature of 3 teams, not something I would completely stop BGs over. Its not any worse than any other pvp games I play with other issues but maybe I am just so numb to it all now I just don't care anymore lol.0

Things are supposed to work; especially something as fundamental as the group finder.0

Well they tend to fill up for me. Not always. But usually. I'm glad to hear you at least give it a few minutes before leaving but you may might want to try sticking it out longer instead of burdening yourself with the deserter penalty. You might be surprised at how well a team can do even when its down a man.

They advertise 4 vs 4 vs 4 . That is what it should be Every Single time. Period.
If they can't make that happen, they should shut it down completely until they Can make it happen.

what is actually happening is that LITERALLY NO ONE CARES ABOUT ESO PVP, and as such there is no matchmaking algorithm that can fabricate human players to fill BGs.
if you want a vibrant and worthwhile pvp experience, you have chosen the wrong game.
to play eso correctly you must be in pve.

They don't communicate in conversations where nothing they could say would make anything better or make anyone change their mind. Controversial statements they make are brought up years after the fact.
As much as silence is not appreciated, I think some of the truths they could say would be even less appreciated. So they choose the lesser of two evils.0
