So, what I paid for today?

I'm playing ESO since One Tamriel. I purchase everything except dungeon DLCs. I pay for ESO+ and Crown crates whenever I can afford.
I'm very committed and grateful to ZOS. I'm always at ZOS side. Well... I was. Till today.

I payed for the Greymoor chapter. You'll never know how excited I was since I first read about the Antiquities. And here they are!

And here I am on Bleackrock, scrying. And here is the blue area on the map. And here is... oh wait. Another player digging the antiquity. Ok - I just stood behind waiting till the player finished his job. And what next? Oh, just nothing! I was just wasting my time. No dirt mound, nothing. I ran around again and again.. nothing. I searched the whole blue area - nothing!
So, Antiquities are as bugged as all the other content? Should I relog? Maybe reinstall the game? Get a new PC? Will this help me? Oh my... what I paid for today? For being upset and annoyed? Well, great job, ZOS!

The other player can't dig your antiquities. Look for a dirt mound like a treasure chest. Using the antiquarian eye to point you to the location.

I have not had a single issue with an antiquity not spawning.

If you don't want to remove your tin foil hat, @myskyrim26, the other option is to abandon the excavation and re-scry again to find a new location.

Shouldn't be too difficult for a low level scry.

As mentioned above, excavation sites are unique to each player ... similar to crafting survey nodes. No other player has access to your excavation.

Even if you did discover a new bug that no one else has ever brought up before, this seems like a rather large overreaction to a particular bug happening to you once.

The true thing is: I had my tin foil hat on for too long.

Once? Ok - once for today...

Others have already explained no one can take your dig site. It's instanced to you.

Are you randomly running around the blue area just trying to stumble across it? If you're not aware, you can slot the Antiquarian's Eye from Tools in the menu. When you activate it, it will spawn a cone pointer made of light. It will literally point you to the dig site.

A dig area will have many possible sites. Your dig site has zero to do with other players. Quick slot the scry eye and when you in the dig area activate it. A blue comet shaped magic ball will appear. The "tail" of this magical comet points towards your dig site. ( Yeah its messed up but i didnt design the thing).

Most frustration comes from not paying attention to the introductory quest that teaches you everything.

You assumed the other player was digging your site, but didn't use the antiquarian eye. If you had, you'd have been pointed to your site.

Without the eye, it can be very difficult to find the dig site.

Don't listen to any of those advices, you need to buy new PC.

For what it worth I have had dig sites where someone else was already digging. Went ahead and did my digging as well. No need to wait for someone else. No problems encounter. Hope this helps.

Be safe and have fun :)

To OP, did you scry all six nodes successfully? Because if you didn't, then you will find "false" dig sites which will disappear until the last one (depends on how much nodes you missed during scrying).

If yes, look carefully on your map, there can be another small dig site which you haven't noticed.

    I agree with everyone.

When something happens to you alone, its not a bug, it's a misunderstanding.
I mastered antiquities, and the only bugs that happened to me were :
    1. Misaligned mythic chests
    2. Sometimes, the dig site stop showing on the map, and I can't use the eye. Dig site is still there, though, and reload ui fixes it

Now, it's "possible' that you have a very specific bug, but extremely unlikely. It would have shown up before.
I think you were maybe victim of bug #2. You'll know it, because your compass will stop being "blue-like-in-quest-area", if you are. Just /reloadui.

If it's still blue, then just use the eye, follow the eye.

Now, if you reeeeeally have a personal, very specific-to-you bug, just redo the scrying.

Sounds like it wasn't a perfect scry so probably more than one potential site. The wrong ones just disappear when you get to them. I'd try re-scrying. The way they pop up on the map I often lose them

Oh! Thank you - I didn't realise you could do that! I've been wandering around aimlessly looking for the spot!
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

You can dig the same site as someone else you don’t have to wait. Tried and tested.

Did you use the tool from your collectible? While in the blue area use it to point toward the antiqity

Dude, the dig sites are player unique, I had one in the same spot as like 3 others. Your scrying eye when used in the blue area will point in a direction that leads to the spot.
