"Useless" is a pretty loose term, @gpkreutzerub17_ESO ... as the value of jewelry writs varies greatly between every jewelry crafting player.

Some of them are useless, yes, but most are not.

If this is another "I don't like my recent RNG" thread, you won't get much sympathy in the forums.

I instantly delete all the blue ones, but I do many of the purple and all of the gold ones. Perhaps that's unwise because selling the material might be more profitable than selling items bought with writ vouchers, but I haven't really investigated that. Until recently I had been busy getting all the set tables for my sweatshop. For this the 'big' jewelry writs were very useful.

Coincidentally, the blue ones in (arcane/robust/healthy) are the only ones I do. I did one gold one that was worth something like 600+ vouchers, but otherwise I prefer to save my higher tier tempers in case I actually need them for upgrading jewelry I plan on using.

    Useless or worthless?
They have been 'worthless' from day 1, but have been getting less so with the last time they were changed!

I have yet to upgrade a set of Jewelry for my self to Gold, not going to do that for a Writ.

I guess if I was trying to get all the Set Stations as a Goal I would. But I have Guild Halls for that.

It is useful to do 1 (and only 1) gold JC writ on your main crafter, just so that you can get the achievement and unlock the gold dye, especially if you need/want to use said dye in an outfit.

I love jewelry writs! It's how I get basically all of my vouchers which are then converted into gold.

Obviously, you have to delete the Triune and Infused ones basically no matter what (though you can try selling them if they're purple or gold) but the less exotic traits should be a dime a dozen from your material stockpile.

I calculated that for me it's about 2X more profitable to do the best purple jewelry writs for vouchers than it would be to simply sell the raw materials.

What's, like, minimum amount of vouchers for purple/gold writ that makes it worth doing? On PC EU, if it's important

jewelry master writs are among the easiest to get. Because you can quickly maximize your chance of getting them by researching all the traits.

BS/WW/Cloth take motif knowledge as well (which is really expensive, especially on multiple characters)

Alchemy/Enchanting are similar (and should get similar numbers of them), but they're lower voucher values

    As far as their value...

Most (non-triune) are worth doing if you're using the vouchers for yourself, if you're trying to sell items with the vouchers, the profit margin will probably be too small. But if you're buying items for you to use, the tax you save from not selling is enough to make most of them "plausible" to do.
