Cannot add to ignore list

Pchat is off, no other addon touches anything near this function. Right click @name in chat, select "ignore" and... nothing. No error message, no confirmation. Checked my ignore list - it was not full, removed several names, still cannot ignore. Since "just ignore them" is the standard Customer Service response to any reports of harassment (physical or otherwise) it would be nice if we could actually use the function.

This would be better suited in the addon forum.
Try disabling pchat and ignore the person.
If the addon is buggy, attempt to play the game without that addon and the system ignore should function.

You are not alone. I made a post about this in this sub forum for bug reports, but a mod moved it to the add-on sub forum for some reason. I don't think the mods here actually play ESO. We've determined it's not an add-on issue. People aren't even added to the ignore list when you report them in my case, as they are supposed to be automatically.

As OP stated, PChat is off. In a similar thread, one player does not have PChat, turned all others off, ran repair on the launcher which also means the did a fresh start of the game and still had the issue. This same player moved all addons and the related saved variables to the desktop so the game could not even see them.

So it does not seem to have anything to do with add-ons. Maybe you can explain how it has to do with add-on considering that information.

@idk the last thread indicated an addon issue. This thread indicates an issue without an addon. Different thread topics. But, both relate with some type of an issue with the ignore function.

It is the same issue for both threads. The last thread assumed it as an add-on issue just as you have in your first post in this thread with suggesting this thread should be in the add-on section that Zos pretty much ignores.

I tagged you and noted someone posted solid information in yesterday's thread that indicates it is not an add-on issue,

Several days have passed and this error has resolved itself. Not sure if it was server side or temporary. Still, it is diconcerting that game features can randomly be disabled, esp the only means we have of limiting harassment.

Dude, have you ever reported harassment in ESO? DO you know what Customer Serivce will tell you? Ignore the person. That's it. NOthing is ever done, many of my worst harassers are still allowed to make my life hell in Cyro, every day, for YEARS.

    That's not helpful at all.
