ESO World Map Overhaul

Ik I already made another thread with something similar, but that is making compromises in order to try and replicated the Anthology Map. But this version takes it a step further by altering zones in a way where they will fit on the map and (roads semi connect, Elsweyr is a big mess with it's zone for it literally matching up to nothing and overlaps with the Reapers march zone).

Changes to map

- Illiac bay is now where it's supposed to be, along with the shoreline of Hammerfell
- Fix Skyrim/Morrowind Border (Eastmarch Resembles the zone now, along with The Rift)
- Added a place for Blacklight
- Moved Solsthiem for it was making unwanted sexual advanced to Windhelm for FAR to long
- Seperated Stonefalls and the Rift since it literally made no sense on how they connected to close
- Fix Cyrodiil (Size and shape)
- Fix Craglorn (Shape and shrunk it to fit on map) in eso size doesn't matter, just look at cyrodiil and vvardenfell vs the other zones
- Added Niben Bay (Felt like that could be used as a border to a new zone)
- Added Blackmarsh's Inner Sea (Same reason as above)

I basically had to re-draw the map for these zones to work, so I hope you guys like, and Im not good with drawing so it's my best.

The Kraken near the top left corner needs to be larger.

Can't think of anything else doubt ZOS will change the map interface and if they did they would probably break something in the process.

I hope they change it too. When they release Dawnstar and Winterhold, the zone will be squished.

While they might be able to adjust things here and there, you won't see any major changes to the map until ESO 2 is released sometime in the future. (if it gets released)

Cyrodiil is supposed to be the biggest province, but looking at this map, I can't help but feel that prize should go the Hammerfell.

This looks a lot better already. Probably the most accurate ESO map right now.

The Skyrim-Morrowind border could still be improved upon though. The separation added between Stonefalls and the Rift is a in conflict with the game's depiction of the zones as being very close together.
The exit of the Blessed Crucible for example used take you straight to Stonefalls (it doesn't anymore because now you get ported back to where you entered the dungeon). There was a beautiful view down onto Stonefalls from on top of that cliff, meaning you have crossed the mountains during your journey through the dungeon, so they must be very close to each other.
Then there is Fort Virak having been built to defend against invasions from Skyrim through the pass that connects the zones, which wouldn't make sense if it is so much further into Morrowind...
I know this is probably very difficult to fix since you would essentially have to redraw more of the map to make it all fit neatly together.

the ingame map is so bad that cyrodil is attatched to an ocean, they really need to redo atleast cyro and create the actual cyro not the abomination they gave us

Very nicely done. I know it's unlikely that they'll change anything at this point, but I fear they'll run into troubles sooner or later if they don't.

Keep in mind that "Cyrodiil" in ESO actually only includes the central region of the province surrounding the Imperial City. It also includes the Colovian Highlands and neighboring regions that stretch out to and include the Gold Coast and the Nibenay Basin down to the southern coast. Taking that into account, it still seems bigger than Hammerfell to me, but I'm no cartographer.

that's because it is the biggest zone, the zone it'self is like 3 times larger than it appears on the map, Vvardenfell has a similar issue in which the zone appears smaller then it really is, and then zones like Craglorn and Eastmarch their zones weren't even shaped the same. Gold coast and Murkmire have an issue of actually being smaller than shown. Even after Cyrodiils upscale in size on the map, it probably is still not big enough compared to the others.
