Will we be able to find a group for dungeons once the player base trends toward cap?

Right now, there is little compelling reason to run a dungeon, while leveling, even once, what is going to happen once most of the players have their characters in the veteran levels?

A game's launch is usually the golden age for low-mid level dungeons. You catch a lot of people as they are leveling.

This always lessens just by virtue of fewer players as the game matures, but usually the gain you get draws people toward running dungeons. However, in this game, There's not a compelling reason to run them past the first time (and I hear a lot of people just skip them entirely).

I'm wondering what the long term implications of this are. I'm envisioning a scenario where, past the first few months of release. It will be very difficult to find a PUG to run dungeons as we're leveling.

I haven't done a single group dungeon (sadly it means my Undaunted skill line will never get levelled).

I hear the XP in them is absolutely garbage so there is no point me doing them while levelling if I get better XP elsewhere.

Long story short, besides the Undaunted which I have no interest in anyway, there is no incentive to do them for some people.

That said, I don't PUG anyway. I only ever group with my friends or my wife, never randoms.

I know not everyone is the same but I don't have the time for toxic players spewing garbage in my chat box so I just don't bother with it.

Each dungeon is worth a skill point.
A bit of loot is sometimes nice too!

the skill point and the undaunted bump are the only real incentives and you only get that the first time. The loot *can* be nice but I've gotten better just playing outside the dungeon, not to mention which, is only good for a few hours before you out level it.

Dungeons tend to have good loot, guild tend to have high level players who do them for fun or because they missed them.

ESO megaserver has an benefit over lots of small ones in this setting as all will share on shard and not be divided on 50 servers,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

when I become vet, ill start helping newbies and lowbies in smaller dungs if they need/want it.

That way, ill learn the dungs real good, and when I level alts I will be able to know them inside out, thats how I do things in AoC as well

I love dungs, and dont wanna settle down with the dungs only at my lvl range.

Just today, a group got surprised that I offered my help with the hearts of crypt dung, I think its called, and happy :)

Haha, yeah. At level 40 I was able to help two level 15s trio Banished Cells. They simply could not find a fourth and I happened to be around to catch their request in zone chat.

Good to just be a friendly neighbor. I got no loot or exp out of it(I deliberately left the chests untouched and showed the others where they were so they could get it)

For me, the level 35 dungeons drop purples on a regular basis. Deconstructing rarely seems to result in a purple crafting mat, so a reliable source of purples is good. I can sometimes get nothing but a few greens.. but when I did the trio for that level I and a friend both got 5-6 purples out of the three combined.

Would be nice if the bosses were a little more consistent in gear drops.. I did seem to get lucky with purples, or the bosses would drop whites. Seems like they should at least be dropped a green for sure, if not a blue. Maybe the quest could also be repeatable for experience, but not the skill point.
