How do I receive the tickets for the Mayhem event?

Noob question. I followed every step for the mayhem event: went to the store, purchased the quest, talked to Maera, completed the quest, received and used the experience scroll.
OK. Now, I completed the daily battleground assuming I would receive two event tickets for it, but I have nothing on my inventory.
I returned to Maera, thinking I missed something, but nothing.
What am I doing wrong or what step do I need to do?

✭✭✭✭✭Did you complete the requirements for the battleground daily quest? You get the tickets when you turn the daily quest in.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0 -

✭✭✭You need a daily quest for the battleground (or one of them in Cyrodil) (and another from your alliance base in IC)
complete the quest and hand in - that gets you 2 tickets
Batlegrond/Cyrodil = 2;
Imperial City = 2

Pyr0xyrecuprotite✭✭✭✭✭Note: the daily quest reset is at 2am EDT each day, not 1am as indicated on the original ZoS article. You can't get more tickets until after the reset.
Also make sure to check your event ticket total BEFORE you turn in your first Cyro or IC daily. You can hold a max of 12 event tickets, and if you attempt to get more while at the max, you LOSE any further event tickets. Spend them fast!

I assume the "daily quest" of the battleground was the one you found on the "Group & Activity Finder" tab.
Is not that? Do I need to enter to Cyrodill and take a specific quest from someone?
Excuse me, I rarely play PvP.

✭The battleground dailies are given out by Battlemaster Rivyn in Alinor, Daggerfall, Davon's Watch, Rimmen, Vivec City, or Vulkhel Guard.

To the Victor: Win three Battlegrounds matches.

✭✭✭Also, you probably know this, but event tickets are shown under the inventory currency tab, not in the default inventory. And yes, there are daily quests in Cyrodiil you can pick up and do. The first you turn in every day (after 2 am EST) nets you 2 tickets. The other 2 you can get from Imperial City dailies.0 -
