Portal Cat Pet or Portal Pets In General?

How interesting and how odd it would be to have a cat go through portals that travels with you on adventures. Just to see your pet animation of him/her jumping through a portal more than once, poking their head out above surface or below the surface too. And also having their body do the half portal two locations would be cool too.
Would it spice things up to have other varieties pets in as portal pets but there own animation?
