The most efficient way to get those crystals is the sign up for 30 day Cyrodiil campaign (set it as Home campaign) and earn 25k AP there (usually it doesn't take more than half an hour). You can do it on all your characters and after a month you receive 1 geode per character that contain 50 crystals each. You can store unlimited amount of geodes. So if you do it on 10 characters, after a month you will receive 10 geodes containing 500 transmute crystals total.

If your talking about the ones from rewards for the worthy, the cooldown actually applies from when you get the items from mail, as opposed to when you earn it.
What this means is if you get a whole lot of AP and hence rewards for the worthy in one play session but then leave them in your mailbox and only get and open one from there every 24hrs and you will get the geode each time. This means you can get a geode every day without actually having to find the time to pvp every day as long as you still have some rewards for the worthy sitting in your mailbox.

While not as efficient as the method suggested by @Mayrael, it can easily be done in addition to it. Say you get to tier one reward on multiple characters to get the end of campaign 50 crystal geode, in doing so you probably got a bunch of rewards for the worthy in doing so. As long as you only open one per day, you can get the once per day geode from all of them. This could be in the order of another couple of hundred crystals per month depending on your luck with rng of the uncracked crystals.

Rewards for Worthy in my experience is 4 crystal over 75% of the time at least. Received (1) 25 crystal before and (1) 10 crystals the rest where 5.

Really wish you could get a 50 crystal geode form BG's once a month by saying you complete all of the battle master task in one day.

This is wrong. They do not need to sit in your mailbox you simply need to open the rewards for the worthy box once every day 20 hours apart and you will always get the geode. I use one character specifically for this that simply holds 50+ rewards of the worthy boxes and I open one a day when doing writs.
