How do you be good at PvP/Dungeons?

I have recently picked up ESO again for Greymoor after being away for 4 years. The last thing I did was get about halfway or so through Orsinium. For reference I am a level CP 126, Two-handed Nord Dragon Knight, 14 Magicka, 30 Health, and 20 Stamina, with Heavy Armour. The skills I use the most are Green Dragon Blood IV, Brawler IV, Wrecking Blow IV, and Hardened Armour IV. I am currently using the Berserker Strike IV Ultimate Ability. Do skills that work good in PvE not work well in PvP and vice versa? I pretty much only have experience with PvE content so I find myself having difficulties doing anything PvP or other player related. I would ideally like to be more of a tank build. I also have decent blacksmith skills if that is useful for anything. Any tips, recommendations, or guides would be very much appreciated.

You gear different in PvE vs PvP. My tip for you is to have different gear for PvP and PvE. So if you want to pvp you can go to your bank and just switch or vice versa. With enough skill points you won't have to go to a shrine and switch. The only thing is cp, but if you play no-cp PvP (BGs and ravenwatch campaign) you don't have to think about it.

Start researching builds and learn for your dk from content creators (I don't recommend theorycrafting until you have some experience). Look at how your passives work with active skills and how gear can help you maximize those skills and passives. So if one content creator say you should use a certain set, try to figure out and understand why that set can increase your character.

Some PvP creators are: dottz, nes, kristofer.

    PvE creators: alqast, xynode, hacktheminotaur

There are more creators of course, but these are some of the bigger ones. Some of them have builds for both PvE and PvP, but the reason I put alqast in PvE is because he focuses on PvE and dottz vice versa

And if you don't like something about a build, you can always tweak so that it fits you better and makes it more enjoyable for you to play.

Atm im running for PVP grothdarr,+elfbane+eternal vigor on my dunmer and im enjoying a lot. A lot of substain and good tankiness and damage. I just been doing Imperial city NoCP and Bgs couse my im just sitting at 370cp.

For PVE still have a lot to improve. Quite new at the game now. After having left the game for 3 years and starting from "scratch" with my pretty savage dunnmer girl DK.

Btw, HUGE improvement counting ad two pieces the dual handed wepons. Give a lot of possibilities.

By investing time, researching and doing lots of practice, as with all the things in life. After enough practice you'll realize you do PvE rotations subconsciously and your movement and animation cancelling in PvP will also feel very natural to you aswell. Think of it like learning how to ride a motorbike. Sure it might seem like too much but you can learn it pretty fast, as long as you are actually trying to improve. But keep in mind just because you played for a long time doesn't mean you'll be automatically good at the game. There are a lot of high CP players that will literally join a dungeon and spam snipe/dizzying swing as their main ''rotation''.

Get with a good guild and they can help you with the end game content. Especially for PvP and Trials.

If you are less than 300 CPs, you will struggle with some end game content. However, Normal Dungeons, some Vet Dungeons and some of the Normal Trials are all doable for you right now. Start out with those.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I am quite sure there are more experienced players able to offer more direct advice regarding dungeon and pvp game play.

However what I would say right off the bat, these are vastly different game types and require vastly different game play, skill and builds. Consequently its probably counter productive to consider these together. Your dungeon character will simply not perform in pvp, and vice versa.

I guess it should go without saying, practice helps ;-)
Also, join some guilds, if you have not already done so. Andy decent guild will have numerous experienced players available and willing to help.

    This game encourages diversity.

My suggestion is to reach AT LEAST cp 160 with your first character, if possible 360 before rolling other characters which are mandatory for every player who wants to taste the game properly. Every exp gathered past lvl 50 will count towards your cp level, but you don't want to level up other characters too early when you can do the same thing later but with less efforts.
You are going to need several characters for several roles and that without considering the fact that you will need differentiation between PvP charatersand PvE ones.
Having more characters will help you with achievements, crafting and many other aspects, so yes: follow these guidelines and you will get the most out of your ESO experience.
