Cruel Flurry set?

What's the current thinking on the Maelstrom DW set Cruel Flurry? It works quite differently from before, with the bonus now being:
(2 items) When you deal damage with Flurry, your single target damage over time abilities used within 4 seconds gain 1690 Spell and Weapon Damage.

I still never see it suggested in PvE builds.
I have no idea whether the many bugs people complained about are still an issue.
But on the rare occasions that I play stamina that isn't bow/bow, I still go bow/DW, and I use Bloodthirst as my quasi-spammable. And if one wanted to stack DoTs in a boss fight, it seems Cruel Flurry could buff them quite a bit.
Uh ... I'm assuming it buffs the damage of DoTs across their whole duration, no matter which bar they are cast from. Is that accurate?

Well, because most DoTs are still garbage and not worth using it. I did some tests on my stam DK, which have the most powerfull ST DoTs in the game, combined with Deadly set and built rotation around DoTs buffs, and its turns out that Cruel Flurry loses about from 2k to 5k DPS compare to pretty standart setup like Releq/Deadly/RandomMonsterSet on 6m dummy. On a raid dummy difference will be even higher.
Not sure that upgraded Perfected version can make a huge difference.
Not gonna bother to farm that [snip] again anyway.
The saddest part about it is, that most DoTs in the Elder Spammable Online game are still trash and not worth running

✭✭✭The stam meta during the Scalebreaker update (when they buffed DoTs to hell) was to use Lokke + Rele armor and jewelry and then Cruel Flurry front and vMA bow (can't remember the name now) on the back bar -no monster set- and stack DoTs.
Then DoTs got nerfed into uselessness and higher stam DW/bow DPS is achieved by using a monster set and sticking to vMA back bar but ditching the vMA daggers. The Cruel Flurry setup is probably not AWFUL at this point, but it won't be BiS.Edited by SidraWillowsky on June 23, 2020 12:53AM1
