Me too. If only because zos uses separate and confusing ‘standards’ for naming set pieces. Some sets, all body pieces will be ordered together because they all start with a common set name prefix. Other sets though have a different naming nomenclature causing them to be scattered all over your bag inventory.
I would prefer zos change the naming scheme so it uses the grouped together naming scheme but allowing is to rename would also work

This would cause a major strain on an already overloaded server.

Already bound pieces only. Attempting to rename a piece would bind the piece to your account as if you equipped it.
I have 3 or 4 sets of several crafted armor sets because I like efficiency. A level 10 training set, a level 30 training set, a cp160 training set, and for some other sets like night mothers thats are very good for vMA on stam, a cp160 divines set, or for sets like new moon acolyte thats very strong for mag and stam, a set in light and a set in medium
Either that or find some solution that doesnt encourage players to keep 3-4 sets of the same armor.
