Yes it does - it makes you more difficult to target, especially up close with melee attacks. That's why people do it. So there should be a cost for doing it.

Yes, obviously if you are in the crosshairs you get hit. But the point is that jumping up and down like a rabbit makes it more difficult to put them in the crosshairs, especially up close. So since it makes you more difficult to target, there should be a cost for doing it. Simples. Sprinting costs stam, why not jumping?Your hit box is massive and as long as the crosshairs are on a you at the time a skill is triggered.

COMPLETELY WRONG!
Get on a rock, then I place Caltrops on ground level in front of you and the rock. From the rock, jump forward pass the Caltrops. You get NO damage from the caltrops on the ground.
TESTED! So saying that YOU GET DAMAGE even when jumping is 100% wrong!
