Gripping Shards does not proc Glyph of Crushing??

But the glyph is always proc'ed by Wall of Frost (Wall of Elements casted with a Ice Staff)
Both are AOE skills with Ice element so I would love Gripping Shards to make WoE obsolete. It is a class skill and it should be stronger and more useful since my class passives influence it a lot.
