They did introduce alliance change tokens after many years of it being asked for so who knows.
Maybe they'll eventually consider it once you've asked for this change for a couple years.
Zos has shown a propensity to give in to such requests. We also know that a token to change class would not have a major effect on the game as we see the alliance change token has not had a noticeable effect.
Even with FOTM chasers, it should not be noticeable as most players already have multiple characters. This would mostly benefit the few that choose to only roll one toon. They are likely a very small portion of the player base.
You know I've always been against this kind of stuff...until recently. Two things changed my mind. First off, like the OP, I'too wanted to play a different class (or actually make a stamden since I main a magden) but after 6 years and multiple alts I just can't devote the time redoing everything all over again for the umpteenth time.Redoing the same ole material as easy as it is on another character over and over is mind numbing...
The other thing that recently changed my mind on this was playing Divinity 2. I began playing the game as a druidy type character but after using some of my other npc companion's skills, I want to change a bit. As soon as I got just a short way into the game I was able to totally change my character as this mirror. I'm talking 180 change in class, looks, passives, etc. Not that I was bored at that point but if I was, that would have breathed new life into the game. I now thank that's pretty cool! Especially so in an MMO where we are spending a ton of hours working on achievements, etc.
Let's be honest. A ton of players in ESO play this as a single player rpg (not me). Who and what would it hurt to allow players that kind of freedom to continue to enjoy the game how they see fit. Knowing ZOS they'd milk the hell out of us in the crown store for that opportunity but I'm sure it would be worth it to a lot of folks.
The real issue is with achievements and titles. People who said how easy is to level another char did not read the post.
I don't see a problem with a class change token. It is not something people will do every month.
Motifs, trait research, quests, alliance rank, achievements (and grinds) are very time consuming and I understand why some people would like to play another class on their main char. If ZOS would make these account wide, they will hurt the collectors who have several grand overlords, master crafters or master anglers, etc. A class change token is far easier compromise than making all these player acomplishments account wide or moving them from one char to another.

Not sure why Achievements are such a hindrance to having an Alt. Do you play the Class or the Title? Because other than the Titles, Achievements do nothing for a character, nothing. Dyes are account wide.
And, if your willing to buy a Class Change, you can buy the Mages and Undaunted skill lines and some Skyshards on a New Alt for about what ZOS would charge for the Class Change.
Cuz, you know the Class Change would be expensive to discourage FOMO.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I would like to have such a token for a simple reason:
- ZOS introduces class change token.
- All end game players (or vast majority) change to whatever is best (both PvE & PvP).
- ZOS sees statistical HUUGEE disproportions and buff / nerf what is necessary.
