scrying worth it for solo players

I see that all the mythic items require things like world bosses or group area bosses. Anything a solo player can get that is worth the effort?

Well as far as world bosses go, I think the list of drop locations must still be fleshed out. I also went to two WB's as indicated on one player created list. Neither of the bosses had less than 4 players waiting to kill them, which was nice. For the third one, I was doing a delve daily in Tsofeer cavern and the green jelly delve boss dropped the lead that was listed for the Grave stake WB. So it could be that the leads drop from more sources than are currently listed at this stage. P.s. I killed that jelly boss on a new lvl 23 toon, blue equip and no cp applied.

you can solo everything but the group dungeon stuff for leads so nothing is really holding you back from soloing antiquities other than group dungeon leads.

If you have the build you can solo everything

I've done it plenty of times, WB might take a couple minutes but I can complete them with ease and someone usually runs past and helps anyway

They're referring to group dungeons, too, @JamieAubrey ... unless you have some god build that can solo Captain Blackheart on normal.

Are you joking? Most end game players can solo that place on vet. The worst bit is the harpy before hand that one bangs tbh

Elitism aside Solo players really shouldn’t be afraid about taking on a WB - and There is plenty of ppl doing it now too

I think the speedy ring and the Thrassian gloves are nice for solo players. Not necessary, but nice to have if you are going to be levelling antiquities anyway. Also, if you are into housing, the furnishing items are superb. The mount looks really cool but it's a bit of a grind-fest, so depends on whether you are a collector, or really love dwarven stuff. Because a lot of people are farming leads right now the WB and public dungeons are hardly ever empty, so it will be easier, and it's a good time to farm them now.

Also I was thinking of PUBLIC Dungeons is group dungeons but even a few of those can be solo'd

If you do it now, while Greymoor is still new, there will be plenty of people trying to do the same thing. If you find you cannot do them solo, you can break with being solo for a bit to get the leads.

People are camping the world bosses.

Also, all the ones I've done seemed as if they would be straightforward to solo. I DID die a few times, because of a couple them hit my pet sorcerer for well over 20K damage. But that kind of thing can be worked around with a bit of practice per boss.

And I did solo some (I often play in the middle of the night). A pleasant surprise this morning was that even Imperial City Sewers bosses can be straightforward to solo. Well, at least the 500Kish health stationary ones; the 1.5 millionish health patrolling one seemed a bit harder. :) And I did Imperial City on a vampire stamblade thief, who is not exactly an optimal boss-soloing character.

The antiquities system provides a LOT more than just those mythic items, so of course there are useful things for "solo" players. Lots of gold. Three new motifs. New furnishing items. Set items from zones also drop from bonus rewards in the excavation mini game.

This you want something more like an VMA setup than an pure DD build.
My favorite is an magsorc DD / heal config.
Or do it at prime time and wait for spawns, perhaps join an group farming bosses.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

I hate this scry stuff, i really and truly do. And now i found out the elads expire, i mean just what seriously? When i just want to enjoy skyrim and all the story, but happened across a fancy golden clue to a decor id love, then now im under stress and feel forced to lvl it up and spend my time on this mindless and boring facebook game instead! Its to the point where i just dont enjoy it or want to bother with it because of this, which means i cant get those furnishings, which just makes me sour and feel pressured into doing this to get them. i hate that u lock these incredible furnishings behind something like this that shouldnt even be in ESO in the first place. I’ve finally gotten over a million gold at once in my bank from the treasure gold ( <3 that last gold coin) and am absolutely loving the furnishings. And yay new motifs (that sell for really well if you get duplicates while trying to find furnishings instead).

Some don’t like it, but second only to Alfiqs, this might be my favorite aspect of the game.

Dunno about vet, but in normal you can just kill him before he turns you.

Ironically, I just tried to solo Blackheart Haven and I failed because I forgot about the final boss mechanics. I can't survive being turned into a skeleton on my current magplar build.

The leads drop again so you can level antiquities at your own pace and just make sure to go back to the appropriate zone/whatever that drops the lead for the thing you want. As for the OP, if you like housing stuff and motifs and some fun gear pieces I would say it's worth doing even for a solo player. Even if you can't solo the dungeons you can always wait for them to be pledges and do your grinding then which is what most people do. Public dungeons are usually plenty easy and if you hit a snag a quick shout out in zone rarely goes unanswered. I personally like the system as it gives me something to do when I just want to relax and much about. In addition to that, it has added value to returning to zones I've not spent time in for years which has been a nice change of pace.

That stupid guar in Deshaan (Bittergreen or whatever) is one of the last couple base game bosses I've been unable to solo.

You can solo him with a decent partner or even any random tank. He hits like a truck and the adds need to be interrupted and killed. If someone taunts the boss the other runs a circle killing adds and jumps back on the boss until the adds respawn. You’ll have to do this a few times. Get a 3rd person dedicated to adds and you can burn him down fast.

I can’t solo him either as a DPS because I’m too squishy but I’m sure high level tanks can handle him alone. With the exception of Coldharbour bosses and this one particular boss I can handle the rest. DLC bosses are a different animal though. Groups are required to take some on.

Going on a bit of a tangent but if there is something overland you haven't done because you couldn't find people to help now is a good time to do that even if not looking for leads. It has been fun seeing so many players in all the zones running about. I find myself just standing on a hill watching.
