Ok so I never played magica classes. However I did hear about thrassian straggler. I want to use it on my stamina build.

I just saw someone with 10k spell damage.... so I want to get on this hype train to brokenville.

So for now here's what I've been theory crafting but dont have the ability to test...

Thrassian, Pelinal, New moon alcolyte, 1 kena head+ flawless dawnbreaker

Thrassian, Pelinal, Vicious Ophidian, 1 kena head+ flawless dawnbreaker

Thrassian, Pelinal, Hundings Rage, 1 kena head+ flawless dawnbreaker

Thrassian,Pelinal, bone pirate, 1 kena head+ flawless dawnbreaker

Thrassian, Pelinal, Champion of the Hist + 1 kena head + flawless dawnbreaker.

Wait hold on... if that guy got 10k spell damage....Let's say I kept that guys build...and went down to 6k spell damage with pelinal....

I could be a magplar...with...2h executioner doing great damage....Yes, you would probably say "Dude 10k spell damage with ray !!!" but remember, ray doesnt work in negate magica....but vigor would....damn....

Tell me anybody tried any of these combos?

I think a true hybrid might be able to exist here... Healing jabs, executioner...so tasty... They start running toss the ray on them lol.

Not going to work. Pelinal is, effectively, a non-start. You give up way too much with that set.

If Pelinal was a 1pc Mythic, then it might be worth using, (obviously couldn't stack it with Stranglers) but as a 5pc set, it just doesn't deliver. You give up far too much for a bonus that is marginal at best. Especially since stam already stacks weapon damage far more effectively than magicka stacks spell damage.

I would say it depends if you intend to use it for pve or pvp.
In PvP (with battle spirit, enemy mitigation), one set actually doesn't make That huge of a difference and you could potentially benefit from using Pelinal (as a StamBlade using a ranged execute, for example).
In PvE (without battle spirit and less mitigation on enemies) the difference is much larger and would make no sense using Pelinal.

Edit: "huge difference" is relative to the players engagement.

Hybrid builds will be in the game some day, @LuxLunae.

However, that day isn't today ..
