How come there isn't a single Coaching agencies for roles in content yet in this game.

SteadyGrounds
Hello There,
I have already posted a "Looking for Tanking Coach" post couple days ago and served the web to find an website that existed back then about professional MMORPG roles coaching through Hard contents. Believe me there are people who don't want to waste PUG's or Guild mates time going through a continent with a failed perform level and would pay for coaching.

Pretty sure it is against tos. But not 100% sure.
Some people sell carry runs though for a lot of gold.

Not if the coaching was paid for with in game gold. You pay for an in-game service with in-game money, no different from paying people for crafting you something. But if real life money, then yes. Very against the TOS.

As for you OP, this is exactly what guilds are for. There are guilds out there specializing in offering practice for new people, look some of those up.

Ahaaaa. That's probably why I couldn't find that website. Thanks, I will keep searching till I find one of these guilds.

    Thank You

I don't think that this is covered by the TOS. There are many streamers offering online coaching on twitch for various games (Hearthstone comes to mind, but also FPS games like Quake etc).

I guess the main reason that this is not a thing is, that many guilds are offerinc coaching systems and there is a TON of free guides available on youtube already. ESO is not rocket science... :)

Idk how the TOS for Heartstone or Quake is like but ZOS has been pretty clear that selling in-game goods and services for real life money is a huge no and will get both parties banned.

Yea but you are not giving them real money for in game gold or a carry... you are paying real money for someone to essentially screen share and train you.

Id be amazed and annoyed if they considered that a ban...

If you gave your friend $5 and told him to stand behind you and tell you how to do the dungeon while you played you wouldn't think that would ban you right?

These things like they said are common in mmos and it would be stupid to punish people getting training in the game from other players... however ZOS is gonna ZOS and you never know...

There is lots of discords that help players understand how to play.

The discord from @Nefas has a big focus on teaching players that want to improve and is supported by a lot of big endgame content creators : https://discord.gg/Dbe6DW
Not sure if they offer coaching, but worth a shot and ask.

You can also find plenty of beginner guides that were created for new players: https://alcasthq.com/eso-beginner-guides/

And a few specifc tanking guides:

The best teacher is feedback. Honest, helpful guidance from people that you trust (and that trust you).

Others have already mentioned about joining player guilds.

I will also say you can form your groups through zone chat, and let them know you're a new tank looking for group. Many people will go help if it's an easy dungeon. If you demonstrate basic understanding of tanking and gearing, then they might even offer to run several dungeons. Friendships sometimes form this way.

There are lots of guides that will teach you the mechanics of the dungeons. That's part of the tanking job.

The in game Skill Advisor has a basic tanking build for each class. That'll get you started in the right direction with your build or, again, check out some of the online sites for builds.

But when it comes to group content?
The best way to learn is with a group.

If you can, joining a PVE group content guild is probably the best way to learn. It'll help you get competent groups to tank for in dungeons or do progression for trials, depending on the guild.

If you are PUGing it, I recommend running the dungeons on Normal while paying close attention to mechanics, then doing them on Vet so you learn which attacks and mechanics you really have to respect.

Beware, though, that in normal mode dungeons, random groups pay little to no attention to mechanics, because it's not needed, and with decent group DPS, many phases of the mechanics will either be skipped because the next phase is reached too soon, or never even kick in because the fight is over too quickly. For this reason, normal mode with randoms is not very useful practice for veteran mode. You get to see the place, and meet the characters, but that's about it. The fighting is usually quite different when you get to veteran mode.

I would recommend entering the veteran dungeon with friends, and learning by dying horribly while having fun. Some of my early tanking attempts in vet DLC dungeons were truly pathetic, and in a random group I would have have been kicked for sheer incompetence at the first boss. You will have a lot more time to learn with friends, and you won't disappoint anyone who was expecting a tank who knows what they are doing.

    https://discord.gg/ESOU ~7000 members and growing.

There are a lot of experienced, endgame players plus content creators such as Skinnycheeks, Liko, myself, Asian and endgame streamers from the Hard Mode Stream Team who can offer advice, 9 out of 10 Class Reps are also available in this server to take feedback as well.

Some of us do offer 1on1s or classes/lectures, atm I'm doing a raid lead program to teach new raid leads through our current system. This is all for free of course and the fact that it's free is only possible due to the collective time and effort everyone puts in. It is not against TOS btw to accept monetary donations through stream or Patreon to teach people, plenty of ESO content creators in the past have done it such as Deltia and Gilliam (who is now a dev) and plenty people do it today.

Located in the server are CP allocations for everything from Vet Kyne's Aegis to Halls of Fabrication, all of the allocations have been tested/tried for score runs/no deaths/hard modes/speed runs.

We also have blue CP allocations for all DPS classes including a bow/bow setup for vAS Hard Mode + tank/healer blue CP including CP for Roaring Opportunist/Jorvuld's.

Besides combat-related information/advice, we also have our own loremasters and fashion professor who can answer your questions/give advice on the true endgame. We've also brought in a fantastic addon developer to also help teach people how to make their own addons or answer questions about addons if need be. We also have people who can teach guild management/organization.

We're expecting the launch of Version 1 for the ESOU website (guides, calculators, etc) sometime this July for those who may not like to use Discord.

I blabbed a bunch of AP repairing questions at you last night, @Nefas - and aside from seconding an earlier post in this thread about you heading-up ESOU, I humbly thank you for taking the time to give your insight - even amongst the other heavy & relevant convo that was happening in your channel. +1

for every game you can find payed coaches except for eso. the reason is that thios game is just too hard. dont get me wrong the wast majority of the content is easssy. but the lets call it *real endgame* is just too complicasted. i was emperor and had almost all hardmode dungeon achivements and some hardmode trials too. but quit the game. its too hard man.

Build sites and well known community members like alcast and feng earn money from game without paying ZoS a dime anyways, I think this is a good thing.

Why would it be againts TOS if service provider earn money directly rather than through ads or through twitch? I don't see anything wrong here.
