Is all the heal nerfs etc. The ZoS way to encourage people to bully ehm sorry i mean group up and hunt down solo players? While also making it harder for solo players to survive being outnumbered patch after patch?

Every patch it gets harder and harder to do anything solo in pvp zones, and yea i get it its an mmo its about playing together, but that doesnt change the fact that some people are lone wolfes by nature, and all this "Play as you want" is false advertisement.

But of course we also have wardens and necromancers that are practicaly immortal and can easily face tank a handful of players and still kill them, all without even reaching below 50%hp.

Isnt it convenient that both these classes are locked behind a paywall?

What do you think?

For what it’s worth I started ESO back in March and my preorder of Greymoor collectors edition came with Warden and Necro classes. So I guess you could say it’s behind a pay wall but in a way it’s the package I chose not for the classes but more for some of the other bonuses and chapters that were thrown in.

Now I do think there should be a way for players to earn the other classes in the game for free, maybe lock it behind finishing a crap ton of content or something like that. Make a player finish off a the complete chapter where the character was introduced to earn the character with the option to buy to avoid the hassle.

Now I do play warden class myself and you are right it’s got the toolkit to survive just about anything you can throw at it but it’s true weakness is that the warden is not the best at any one thing but solid across the board. It’s versatile and can switch between various archetypes on the fly. The secret to warden is perfection though. Screw something up and you’re dead. It’s an unforgiving class when you mess up.

Contrast that to Templar one of the base game classes which I also play. Super easy to play and extremely forgiving. You can recover from mistakes. You can mitigate damage or you can deal damage while healing with a cheap in class spammables that you don’t even have to aim properly. Cast your rune, throw down ritual of retribution, spam jabs, repeat. Add the psijic shield passive to that and you’ve got DPS with built in tanking wearing light armour.

Haven’t personally tried Necro yet but have also heard DK, another base game class, is legit hard to kill as well. So I would say the game classes are fairly balanced, but it does suck that you have to buy them outright either through crown store or a special edition.

@Karmanorway, those "lone wolf" solos have to be smart about which fights they choose too.

You can't expect to take on a large group, lose, and then come to the forums saying you're being bullied and ask for changes to the game.

I've been playing my Stamblade solo PvP a lot more since the patch.

If my Alliance needs help with a big keep battle, I show up and support them with siege ... as my Stamblade is super squishy and can't melee at all.

Find the right fights and you'll enjoy the game much more.

I dont think they are targetting solo players. I think they are targeting the super high healing on certain spells (vigor and regen, aka heals that scale with offensive stats) but they are forgetting that max health heals and heals that only scale with +healing like crit surge are also getting nerfed.

Cryodil is group vs group PVP.
Why were you even soloing, to begin with?

Yes I often go into Cryodil alone but I don't stay that way, either I join the main group or I make a PUG group of people from zone chat.

Unless you are talking about IC I don't see a problem.

Of course i get that, but that doesnt help me much in IC looking for leads and farming telvar. Why should i be forced to make a group of ppl for that lol.

Before this greymoor patch i did just fine solo, then they nerfed healing. Troll king/Bloodspawn and BRP daggers, its bs, and to top it all of im also playing a stamsorc, the forgotten class. Now i could just jump on the meta train with immortal necros and wardens, but my alliance rank or achievements wont follow me, and I dont feel like spending years killing another thousands of players to get there, since i have a life outside eso 🤷‍♂️

You don't have to join a group to farm tel var, of course.
However, if you go alone, you'll get into trouble when meeting enemies that did make the extra effort to join a group.

    It's only normal.
Having a solo player holding his own easily against a group of player is bad design.
It's not bullying solo players, it's fixing the game.

Why not run invisi pots and speed gear to avoid the large groups? You’ll have to be more selective where and when you fight for but it is an option. It’s a massive enough space you can farm the dead spots effectively.

Have you played an immortal necro or warden? The stamina variants of those classes may be strong, maybe even unbalanced, but they don't automatically turn you into a 1vXer. Skill does. The grass is always greener on the other side.

As far as IC, magsorc in Imperial Physique remains one of the strongest specs there. Damage is high, shields are huge and when they don't want to be killed, they streak, they disappear with invisibility potions and the experienced ones know the numerous places where you can streak onto a protected platform. It's probably easier to pull this off while doing damage from range. I don't know. I don't see that many stamsorcs, though strong ones do exist also.

IC is not a bad place to LoS and 1vX people on the tankier classes, but in terms of bringing Tel Var home or squirreling a boss away in a building, I'd probably still rather play a sorc or a nightblade.

Im surprised anyone can pvp right now... or have things improved...

pvp has been laggy for goodness knows how long, but following the last patch Ive basically not been able to play. Skills literally wont fire, or if they do, it is literally 10, 20 or more seconds later. Utterly unplayable. A real shame because I had gone from someone who occasionally ventured into pvp for fun, to someone who was actively engaging with pvp regularly and really enjoying it.

Very clever bait and switch. Yet another thread of yours complaining that Wardens and Necros are god mode.
