How to add a working fireplace to Mournoth Keep?

Hi, guys. I just bought Mournoth Keep and I love the house. I'm starting to acquire the crafting stations, but before that wanted to make my fireplace usable (I didn't buy the house furnished).

Can you tell me what items do I need to buy?

Thanks in advance.

Make your fireplace 'usable'? What do you mean?

    1) If you want a fireplace that you can light and extinguish, you can add one of the 'Firelogs' furnishings (Ashen, Charred or Flaming). Some houses include one of these Firelogs by default, but Mournoth does not come with that particular furnishing so you need to acquire it from Crowns, from trading, or from another house you own.You can buy these from the Store tab of the Housing Editor for Crowns, or you may be able to find some for sale at guild traders (but that will be quite expensive).

    2) Alternatively, you can substitute the Firelogs by making a lit fireplace by using other items. You can build a wood base by using 'Rough Firewood, Stack's and then sink some fire-giving lighting furniture such as braziers or torches into the wood so the lamp itself isn't visible but the fire is, making the wood look like it's on fire

    3) If you want a fireplace that you can use to cook, you need to use a 'Winter Festival Heartfire'. This is a functional Provisioning crafting station, but takes up a much smaller space than the regular provisioning station, so it will fit into fireplaces. One is included in the 'New Life Festival' furnishing pack that is sold usually around Christmas time, but you can purchase it from the Editor directly too. It's quite expensive though and probably not worth the money.

I don't have an issue. The keep is my first house that I bought (after the inn room), and since then I have used several fires in the fireplace, including the cooking-station fire. You need to carefully use the positioning tool so the fire furnishing remains outlined in green while in the position you want. If it is yellow then you are pushing the fire too much in the back of the fireplace or it clips with the ground more than it should. The ashes should be still visible.

If you have a port to friend's house type of addon you can port to my Mournoth Keep house (PC/EU user kind.hero) to see how I placed mine.

P.S. If by usable you mean that you want to cook with it, then you need to buy a special fire from the crowns only furnishings, which acts like a provisioning station. Like bluebird said, it is called Winter Festival Heartfire.

Oh, by the way, I already have a provisioning station, I want the fireplace only for decoration. :)
