Why do you need vamp for mag tanking on?

Undeath ain't worth the cost addition.
Channel heal is just bad heal to rely upon, since you can't use it during times you really need it (phases with a lot of dmg incoming) because no block.

I simple just like to try something new :) And like to try and build a magic shield tank, og the damage reduction from the vampire is cool. and the new wampire is fun :)

Right now im thinking of something like this.

Hm so more of a fun build instead of scorehunting.

Well, you might find Brands of Imperium, Lunar Bastion or even Hatchling's Shell interesting. Or you could use Turog's to boost the hardening enchant.

But I'd rather use a sorc or DK for shield tanking.

Good luck building it, I am sitting this one out, I dislike tank builds that don't bring group support.

(I will add though that mesmerize seems forced in your build, especially since you already have hard crowd control, the totem).

    Edit 1:
and that flame resistance glyph gives you nothing because your flame resistance is almost capped without it.
And that you have 2 mag recovery glyphs but you don't regen mag while blocking on ice.
    Edit 2:
And that charged backbar is just bad, not only because your only elemental damage that can proc anything are 2 aoe dots (which means that instead of 2% per tick you will have 4% per tick, which is nothing), it doesn't carry to front bar. As rule of thumb backbar trait should usually be infused, the only enchantment that has effect when you are on front bar(when combined with wall of elements or endless hail).

As long at its not for Trials rundt it don't matter that much.
But what would you add to benefit others then for a magic frost tank?

You are 100% correct, it doesn't matter much. If at all. Tbh the closest I ever was to mag tanking was my frost/resto nb. He wore heavy though. My brain just can't process why waste 3 armour pieces on defense to wear light when you can just wear heavy and go 3 support sets...

Haha true :) But to make something els ant try getting it to work.
But would be cool to get some support into it also.

Also with a setup something like this i will give more damage then a normal tank, so that will help with doing dungeons faster.

Bloodlord's Embrace mythic https://eso-sets.com/set/bloodlords-embrace can help you with frost staff blocking. The only thing is it takes chest slot, so you have to split your sets a bit. Something like 2p monster set + mythic + 5p yolna frontbar + 5p torug backbar. Some sets are not well suited for a single bar tho (alkosh, ebon)

EDIT: as of the build you posted:
you have no taunt slotted, you can taunt with frost staff heavy attack, but you are unable to block. There is a taunt in undaunted skill line
you have no use for stamina, you can spend excess stamina on bone surge (undaunted skill line)
armor master is really bad set for tanks, you don't need armor cap to be a good tank
if you need a damage shield set, I would go with Brands of Imperium

You can make a great tank build with ice staff and vamp. Just dont lose sight of what a tanks job is, which is to protect the group by mitigating damage for the group and also increasing the groups overall damage.

In 4 man dungeons, especially pugs, the best way to increase the groups damage can sometimes be to build your tank with a lot of damage.. so that might be a fun way to play for you. Build your vamp tank with 35k HP, 28k resists and put the rest into damage stats. If you are using magicka to block then forget magicka regen. Bloodlords embrace mythic item would be perfect for this build.
