Question regarding LA weaving and possible technical issue.

Good Evening,

I am trying to narrow down a technical issue I feel like I've been having with ESO. Upon returning to try out the Greymoor chapter I've noticed that LA weaving on my new Necromancer seems for lack of a better word... clunky... compared to how I remember it.

To explain, I'am having issues with my spammable getting stuck in an animation loop while I am trying to LA weave in between; it seems to work with most other abilities in my rotation until I get to my spammable. The skill in question is Ricochet Skull. As far as FPS, latency, etc... I am usually anywhere between 110-144 FPS and my latency hovers around 88-110 depending on the time of day. I am not using any mods that would conflict with anything combat related (the only one I have on is MapPins and I turned that off...same issue). Furthermore, I've ruled out any complications with my mouse (recent purchase so I've tried two different ones I had sitting around) and the issue persists. It's almost like it's just straight up not registering my mouse clicks in between.

Would anyone happen to have any suggestions? While I am enjoying most of the contact the combat continues to be a real drag as a result of this issue.

Thanks.

You can try your hardest to eliminate every aspect of latency on your end, but no matter what you do it is on zos's end. You most likely are not doing anything wrong, the game is just in a really bad state. 88-110ms is a blessing, I am stuck with 120-150ms

Generally the only combat thing you can do is slow down your inputs. The servers are just falling behind and cant que up your inputs, so there is a terribly clunky feeling delay in between each button press that you need to guess at how long it is depending on how laggy the game is that night. This is how most of us PvPers have been playing the game with 250-500ms latency over the past 4-5 years.

it works better on the pts server than on the live server. the performance of the light attacks has never been so bad. and they have been talking about performance improvements for a year now. the light attacks disappear for me even with a "good" latency of 50

i have the same problem with a dual xeon not capable of more than 3.3 GHz. when the main thread that feeds the DirectX queue get 100%, lights attacks stucks even during seconds. I solved mostly capping at 60 fps in usersettings.txt (0.016) so that thread mantains about 80% most of the time. Check with ctrl+alt+esc if you have a core at 100% (tab performance - view logic processors)

Want to echo that I've also found Ricochet Skull suddenly harder to weave than other class spammables. Have not noticed a change with other classes, just this one skill

I'm still learning how to do light attack weave and I've a few problem with this skill.
First one is that light attack quite often just don't fire at all. For example when I'm trying to do LA > Ricochet Skull > LA > Ricochet Skull > LA > Ricochet Skull > LA It's just LA > Ricochet Skull > Ricochet Skull > Ricochet Skull. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but, tried to do it slow or fast - same result. I've no issues to weave Crushing Shock for example.
Second problem is that sometimes after casting RS, character just stand still and do nothing. LA/skills are not registered at all. I've to stop, wait 1s and then continue. I've no problems with other skills for now. My average ping 87-120.

Have the same problem on my Necro. Was parsing and every ability feels super clunky. Have to almost cast BB every 3 skills now but could easily do 2 Skills before this patch.

Also if you go to pop a synergy and cancel it with a ground based AoE (boneyard especially), it just doesn't cast anything.
"Rock is too OP, please nerf"

Ricochet Skull just have very clunky animation, as part of it consists of your staff magically disappearing and reappearing in your hands. In fact all of necro animations feel very clunky (and don't let me start on tether and blastbones)
