Inventory Space is the biggest problem ZoS has in this game. (Other than the lag fest of course)
The solution to the inventory space problem is a very simple one.
When we go to the crown store and get an undesireable crown item, we can destroy it and turn it into crown gems. These gems can be used to get what we want in the crown store.
When we get undaunted keys we go up to the quest givers and get a box with a random box of that dungeon to get a shoulder piece.
When we go use our alliance points we can choose the set of but it will be random part of it.
So all ZoS has to do is combine these mechanics for the BOUND PVE dungeon sets. We just go straight to the undaunted quest givers for the set item boxes.
The armor would be mulched to points that don't take up space in the inventory like alliance points or crown gems.
These mechanics already exists in the game. It could probably be built within an hour or two time.
Unfortunately, this solution would destroy the inventory subscription meta. So allow it to be only accessible through subscription.
What that ZoS? you are surprised I said that? Putting the solution behind a sub from a non-sub user?
Well you shouldn't be.
It is because someone had the mind to give free subscription every X months to the non-sub players. They will be able to use it at that time.
The free sub time usually happens before a major update. Usually, people run into the space problem just after the major update trying to get the new sets and such.
Also, this system gives EVERY USER peace of mind when you decide to randomly change what a set does.
We can destroy the old set we had and try to get the new one we want from random boxes. (we choose the set box we want)
Some will get 1/5 of the set, some will get 5/5 of the set. Either way most of us will have to go out and farm for the rest of the set.
Obviously if the gear is gold and is mulched, it should give more points.
In my opinion if this system existed for vMA weapons, I would think few would be angry about the changes to the weapons.
Let's say someone got 3 vMA weapons that they didn't want. They mulch it to get a random 4th try. They don't get the weapon they want, they go back for 2 more tries, they don't get the weapon they want. They mulch the 3 and still don't get the weapon they want. So they go for 2 more tries....
The difference here is that the extra roll allows us to FEEL (also it actually does...) THAT THE PREVIOUS GRINDING WASN'T A WASTE OF TIME!!!
A system like this is the ONLY way I can come back happily and invest my time into this game.
Some people can do vma and almost 3 shot the final guy. I am not them, nor will I ever be. I do not even CARE about them being able to do so. Don't warp the game for that one/few outliers.
Also don't forget the manequin idea of letting our sets be on display in the house and walking up to it and swapping our armor with it. Toss that in crown store or make it craftable wood working or something.
I'll come back in December. I think instead of making random suggestions, I should create my own 2d game engine and build a concept of a game for more insight. Throw it on steam or something and let that negative feedback roll.
