Hello community. I am planning to return playing ESO after a tiresome adventure in world of warcraft. I previous left ESO because I personally found the classes pretty hard to play. Especially the animation cancelling is something that turned me off. I am planning to give the game a go again as currently in wow the end expansion content is boring and casino like.

I used to play a sorceror, but I already found that quite hard to play, maby I am just a bad player... although im wow I raid mythic and we have fair progression. But as said... animation canceling and me... jut does not work. Is there any class and spec that does not require animation cancelling or whatever weaving. I want to be competitive.... and so this was the main reason for leaving eso previous time because I just did not have what it take regarding to this odd mechanic.

Any tips?

Thank you.

If you want something forgiving I recomend Dk or templar heavy dw werewolf build, I run it and dye to its regen and defences its forgiving in pve. And ww form let's you cut through enemies quick.

I hear you brother. Been playing since console launch and I still don't animation cancel. But I would suggest learning to weave attacks. Which is basically hitting light attack between every skill. This will significantly up your dps.

As for easiest class, I say pet spec. You do relatively good dps with the 2 pets, have a powerful heal to keep you up, and shield, and it's not complicated at all and is able to do most if not all content in the game.

Here's a link to an easy to grasp set up. The gear listed all drops from overland zones so you don't really need raid gear to get it. Check out his other builds too. He has some pretty good ones on there.

My recommendation is DK. And go tank. Tanks don't a/c, and obviously don't worry about dps meters as their primary metric. It's the only pve role that is friendly to hybrid play.

Tl;dr - If you're looking for a rewarding change of pace, look no further than dk tanking.

Hey, thanks for the comments so far. I have a sorc pet build. For a long time already. But not really my style anymore. In wow I tank aswell, pretty fun. And as some mentioned DK might be a good thing... and tanking... hmmm. Maby I should give it a go. I'll start leveling one and hopefully I will like it. Atleast give me fast dungeon queue's :p

Leveling tank isn't fun early. Doing overland for the skill points is slow. I made it easier on myself leveling bow early for overland then later switched out the skill points.
Tanking does get fun later in the game though.

For DPS magicka Templar is fun for me. That is the character I do all the content on. I'm not good at animation canceling but I can solo most the base game overland bosses and feel like I contribute okay when joining my guild for trials.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

i have been playing for 4 years now. My dps still stinks because I don't care about that stuff. There is so much to do in the game besides doing trials and pvp and obsessing over builds and dps. Farming, housing, story, collecting and socializing are enough to keep one busy and happy without even touching the difficult combat stuff. That is only one part of the game and from I see more frustration that I care to have. Besides, PVP and trials seem to be where most of the performances and bugs occur. Basically don't worry about it. Do what you enjoy and don't worry about feeling inferior to the 75k dps elitists. I get by fine with my 10 dps.

I have one of each class at 120 in WoW because can't stand the endgame treadmill but I've been here on and off since beta and just play a Magicka Templar. Its like playing a Pally in WoW.
