I’m pretty sure crafted pots are still better but the increase is good for those who don’t want to craft or don’t have gold.

The crafted pots have a timer of 47.6 seconds for Major Intellect, and Prophecy
The alliance pots have a timer of 47.3 seconds for Major Intellect, and Prophecy

Both have cooldown timers of 45 seconds. Meaning they are the same exact pot.

(I just looked at them side by side)

Yay for the non-crafters/non-farmers! I don’t even know how y’all managed (well, minus the super duper rich) with the price of cornflower. And I say this as someone who would occasionally dip into my stash to sell if I overindulged in something pricey myself.

    Hahaha who uses alliance potions?

There’s quite a few potions that have a lot more utility in PVP then they do.

I’m assuming this is a PVP centric post.

I don’t enter PVP with anything less than BIS immovable pots and my trusty invisibility pots.

I’m not talking about the timers. Everyone should have alchemy up anyways.

Same here, I always considered those pots garbage and didn't realize anyone would ever use them, then or now. Restoring magicka and increasing damage, doesn't do a lot of good when you are rooted and dead, which is 100% more likely scenario than being able to stand there doin extra damage for 45 seconds. Not to mention, even using a pot in the lag is iffy at best lately.

Well said. I even have a rotation to use them. If I’m on my horse I have the invis pots slotted on the off chance I need to make an extra stealthy escape that I can’t ride away from. And those immovable pots I’ll pop basically the second a wall comes down. The fact that they add health and magic is just a bonus.

You really need to be like Batman in PVP and have something in your belt for every possible scenario. One scenario that usually doesn’t come up ... just standing there pew pewing with no one trying to kill me.

They’re BiS for Endgame PvE, and cheaper than crafted variants. So basically the best source of Endgame PvE pots is now PvP. It’s weird but should at least help PvPers sell their AP.

At least that’s the case for Spell pots. On my server the Weapon pots are the same price to buy as crafted (it’s a Magicka meta rn anyway though).

Some people seem to turn up their noses at Spell Pots in PvP but on classes without easy access to those buffs (magPlar, magCro, magNB as Sap Essence is impossible to pre-buff with) it is either use pots or slot a quasi-useless DoT like Degen that hogs up a premium slot on your bar.

It's a drag not to be able to use Armor or other utility pots but it is what it is. Classes with easy access to those buffs might not realize how big of a blessing it is, especially when it is tied to other useful buffs from the same skill.
