So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

It used to be even more expensive.
They tried to give us more vouchers but players just upped the price of the materials in the Guild Stores.

Luckily there's an addon to automatically type "DESTROY" on jewelry writs :)

Only do one gold jewelry writ for the achievement and trash the rest, they are garbage.

Depends on how much gold/resources you have. They're the best source of vouchers.

I occasionally do a few blue ones.
As good gold clothing/blacksmithing/woodworking ones are very rare (or cost 20k in store).. :(

Got one who gave over 600 vouchers.

It looks like overall marked for gold master writs has collapsed. They sell for less than 30 gold / voucher now on PC-EU.
Last year it was around 100 gold.
Has to check if it might be profitable doing them and selling stuff you can buy for them.

Purple ones coat 75k is to complete and are usually worth 200 vouchers, which is like 180k gold. Thats 100k profit, so yeah, I do my jewelry crafting writs

I try to do Jewelry writs if/when I can-- I've never destroyed or sold any-- but they do tend to pile up in inventory/bank. One might hope they'd be easier to do than Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking writs, since Jewelry doesn't require any knowledge of style motifs and takes fewer temps to upgrade; but the high prices of the temps squashes that hope. Some of the prices I've seen are completely unrealistic, and the lower-priced listings get snatched up very quickly. I'm convinced that flippers are a large part of why lower-priced listings disappear so quickly and so many unrealistically-high listings exist. Stop buying the temps and let the greedy flippers go broke.

Yeah... Jewelry Writs should come mostly in Green and Blue. For Purple and Gold, it becomes way too expensive to do... those could at least give you a lot of more vouchers (like up to 400 on a single gold).

Blue is definitely worth it, purple and gold not so much in my opinion.

The problem is that there is no new supply of items or motifs that we can buy with vouchers, I am sitting at 1100+ vouchers mainly from alchemy, enchanting and provisioning Writs. I can almost buy the transmute station but its a bit pointless to buy that for a couple transmutes each month if you have an ESO+ sub.

It would be cool if there was a new motif (like Glass style) that could only be bought with vouchers.
Another nice idea would be to have dyes that you can unlock by spending vouchers.
The master writ system is becoming a bit useless due to the lack of stuff to spend vouchers on.

I find I have enough tempers to do most of the jewellery MW's I receive. The only MW's I delete are for traits where my own play is not giving me the trait materials - triune, harmony, bloodthirsty, swift. Writ vouchers are not something I feel the need to spend gold on.

It's not still the same- a little bit ago they changed how writs dropped/quality rates. They're way more reasonable now- some of them are even within the normal range of mat cost per voucher that most crafters use to determine whether a writ is worth doing

    ETA: it was update 23.
    Jewelry Crafting Master Writ Improvements
In this update, new Jewelry Crafting Master Writs received from daily Jewelry writs will most commonly request a superior piece of jewelry, with a rare chance of epic, and a very rare chance of legendary. The number of writs awarded from newly received epic and legendary Jewelry Crafting Master Writs has been significantly increased. This change is not retroactive.

Is that all? I think I'm up to over 8000 now-- mainly because I haven't started to buy attunable crafting stations yet. Other than the storage chests, I think the only thing I've spent vouchers on so far was a one-time purchase of a Jewelry trait mat.

If you need something to spend your vouchers on, buy Jewelry trait mats and sell them for gold. Or buy anything of the other voucher-only items and sell them for gold. Or put crafting stations in every one of your player housing properties.

Everything about jewelry crafting is expensive, the drops for mats are very rare and far in between, deconstructing jewelry provides too few materials, for example, I deconstructed 8 pieces of purple jewelry and netted zero purple mats...not even one!

so when I receive those jewelry writs, I turn around and sell them, jewelry crafting has become a real disappointment

I may do a Jewelry Crafting Master Writ once in a great while, but not usually. I upgrade my own characters jewelry first, (without buying the mats), so I don't have the upgrade mats to spare for writs.

There are a lot of 600+ voucher golds around on the guild traders (PC NA). Problem is as another player mentioned, blue tempers are a bottleneck. So it takes a while to get the stuff together for them. I did buy my way through the 635 voucher one that dropped a few months back - I needed the vouchers....

As others have posted just type "DESTROY" and get rid of them or use the Addon to DESTROY them. Not worth doing at all.

There could be items, dyes, costumes, personalities or skins that can only be bought with vouchers so players have a reason to do master writs. If you just gonna convert it to gold why even do writs? Just do the stuff that makes nets the most gold/hour and forget writs even exist.

Best bang for your bucks are the purple jewelry writs that net between 193 and 212 vouchers. Sometimes I'm lucky and there are some arcane, healthy or robust trait writs for less than 5k at the guild traders.

On PC/EU a purple jewelry cost about 75k, which is about 375 gold/voucher. A gold one would be much more expensive, even if it nets over 600 vouchers. A gold ring or necklace cost at least 380k, which would be over 600 gold/voucher.

Blue writs don't pay either, that would be 15k for a maximum of 30 vouchers, which is about 500 gold/voucher.

Okay, well, you're missing my last sentence. If you don't want to buy stuff that you can sell for gold with your vouchers, then buy crafting stations to put in each of your houses, or something like that.

I get that it would be nice to see some new stuff get offered from time to time that you can spend your vouchers, but until that happens you can either spend them on stuff that's already on offer-- whether the intention is to keep that stuff for yourself, or use it (such as making jewelry with the trait mats), or sell it-- or just hang onto the vouchers and let them keep accumulating the same way people accumulate gold or whatever. Or, as you inferred in your last sentence, stop doing master writs entirely and just forget they even exist.

My point was that you have options. Which one you feel like choosing is up to you.

Personally, I'd just as soon not see more crafting motifs get added into the game, because I think there's already far too many of them. I mean, it's true that variety is the spice of life, as they say. But there are so many motifs in the game that the simple act of trying to navigate to the specific style you want to craft something in is getting to be a real mess. And not only that, but each new style motif brings with it a new style mat that needs to be obtained and stored for future use. Unless you've got ESO+ (which I do) and have unlocked the crafting bag, it's almost beginning to approach the point where a large chunk of your inventory or bank account slots will need to be used just for storing style mats.

On the other hand, it would be great if some of the existing crafting motifs or outfit style pages which can be obtained only by very specific means-- perhaps including older Crowns-only items, or past one-time event-only items-- could be added to the list of stuff that you can buy with your writ vouchers. I dubt anything like that would ever happen, but it would be nice.

Or maybe add collectible pets or mounts you can buy with vouchers-- or, as long as we're dreaming pipe dreams about things that will probably never happen, how about those pets that give you 5 more inventory slots per character? I'd love to see that!
