ADDITIONAL CHACTACHTER SLOT: an humble plea

Hello everyone!
I will try to be as much brief as i can.
I did as the devs suggested and i experienced almost every aspect and playstyle of the game. As resoult i quickly ran out of any possible character slot, reaching the number of 18 fully developed and geared charachters.
But there is still so much to create, to experiment, specially now that the new vampire talent tree has been released and now i am trapped here: unable to create new characters and unable to delete other characters to make room for new ones.
I asked help to the costumer support but i keep receiving blank answers with nothing ritten on them, so this post is my last hope.
Is it possible to somehow add more character slots, exceeding the limit of 18 characters? Something paid maybe, like the other Crown Store unlocks.

Indeed, it is not ideal nor recommandable. It is also less lucrative for ZOS since they would harvest less money from the unlocks.

Possibly at an increased price, even... like, the first 10 additional slots cost 1500 crowns each as we have it now, but then the next couple ones cost 3000... I am certain some people would still pay that for making more characters while keeping all the account-wide goodies, right?4 -

Well that would be ideal even though that's not the place to discuss how much it would cost.3 -

But the best solution would still be to get a new account if you're so adamant on having more than 18 characters. I'm saying this because in the long run it's a more viable option. Even if ZOS adds one more character slot, you will fill it up very quickly and some time later make this same post again. 18 is arguably already an insanely large number of character slots for most players, so the more slots they add, the less chance they will add another one again. Getting a new account completely eliminates this problem by providing 18 new character slots for you to fill up with alts, no need to wait and/or beg for more slots. Some of us are more creative and they exploit ESO high cutomisable talent system and charaacter creation to have some fun.

Apologies if my language was not clear. I have absolutely nothing against altoholics, I'm genuinely amazed by the amount of dedication some of these players including you have. That being said, I tend to disagree with adding more slots. I would guess that having more character data means it needs to be stored somewhere somehow. I don't know the technical details at all, but I would also guess that if having even more characters had no impact on game and server performance, they would add the option to have over 18. A new account possibly creates anywhere from 1-18 new characters, but adding the option for one more slot possibly generates thousands of new characters on thousands of accounts. I'd be interested to see how many characters the average account has, and even more interested in how many active characters the average account has. I won't lie, I have 8 characters created, but I play on one character all the time and the rest are effectively mules. Looking at my friend list, I also tend to see mostly the same character names, it's rare to see an account that constantly changes between more than 4-5 characters.
This thread probably leans towards those with more alts, but the state of things being inadequate seems to be a stretch for me. Judging by my previous MMO experience, 18 is already a high number of characters you can have on one account. Yes, there are probably MMOs with more character slots, you can always find a counterexample.
As much as it sounds upsetting, I think that on a macro level, altoholics who actively play all characters represent a minority. Having the option for a 19th or 20th character slot is probably not a problem of money, but rather resources and load on the game.PC EU - Ebonheart Pact

Lots of mmo give you way more
Even ff14 were everything can be done one each character give you about 50(8 per server, world visit system let you walk over to any server in your data center with almost no restriction)3 -

✭Literally the minute it was confirmed in a forum thread on PC release day, that we were in fact, NOT getting any new character slots as it had been speculated - I got a refund for the pre-purchase I made about an hour after the reveal stream in January, as soon as it was available in the Microsoft store.
This is the first Chapter I am not excitedly buying the CE of, and the only content so far that I won’t have. It kills me ‘cause I LOVE the Elder Scrolls - but the “yuckiness” is everywhere now.
My download only finished less than 40 minutes ago, and I have already had 3 infinite load screens & 2 hard crash quits.
Makes me sad to see what is happening to this game.

The point is that the number of allowed character is not adequate. It does not fit such a flexible talent choice method.
Just think about how many alt you would need to experiment just the dps aspect of a single class, with magika and stamina builds, for melee or ranged combat and much more!
18 is not nearly enough, believe me, but i am not asking for an unlimited amount of characters: just to raise the current limit a bit.
In truth i initially came here to gain a single, mere additional slot, but since we are having this discussion...
@Dark_Lord_Kuro made an interesting point: locking the other characters behind the eso+ membership.
Other games have such approach, for example Star Wars the Old Republic, where you may create a lot of characters in a single server and then you may either become a subscriber and have them all unlocked and available or not subscribe and chose a reduced number of "core characters" to maintain active.1 -

There are a couple of things worth discussing, I think, specifically about why a second account doesnt work and why I want so many character slots.
A second account doesn't work for me for a couple of reasons. 1) bind on equip gear - my second account will never have the resources my first account has and splitting my effort between the accounts is frustrating and a waste of time. 2) Achievements - I want to get different achievements and having them on different accounts is really annoying to me.
My second account is honestly mostly used for writs these days, and thats okay. It was never going to work for alternate builds like I wanted.
There are a couple things zos could do that would drastically reduce my desire for alts and make the game much more playable, but by far the most important one for me would be to make spec changes easy and cheap and not require addons.
Addons can make it easier, but its still a pain and annoying. Every time my main (a tank) wants to go in a dungeon, or pvp, or do anything different I have to reset her atteibutes, remorph skills, visit a mundus, change armor and reset cp. Its time consuming and expensive. Admittedly, this problem is particularly bad for tanks, but its a problem for everyone. As a side note, i think fixing this would go a long way to addressing the shortage of tanks in the game too.
I want to be able to try all of the class/role combinations and quite frankly there aren't enough character slots for that. I don't want to have to go through the effort to respec a character every time I want to do a dungeon, or go to cyrodiil, or do some thieving, or tank, or heal. For me its mostly the time and effort, not the gold but I think thats a motivator too for some people. For this reason alone, if I could have a tank, healer, mag dps, stam dps and a couple pvp builds for each class, I would currently thats only feasible as seperate character slots. We'll never have that many slots though. Easily switching specs would be so much nicer.3 -

Anyway, if you’re at max CP then ignore this but if not, may I suggest actually playing the game before you make another 20 characters?2 -
