Crafting guild idea

I had an idea for a crafting sub guild. It will be used mostly for the guild bank (or possibly the guild store if we get enough members) to store level 1 armor and weapons with all of the traits on them.

The idea is to have 1 of every trait for every craft able item in the guild bank along with stacks of tier 1 crafting materials and the trait gems. So if for example I was looking for a divines trait for medium gloves, just pull that item out of the bank, do the research and then when able, replace the item when the research is done.

The use of the guild store will be not for profit but to make things more organized. We would post armor and weapon pieces with traits for 1g. It would just make it easier to search for individual pieces with the traits you need instead of looking through a massive list

Let me know about your thoughts on this or if anyone would be interesting in possibly joining a guild like this.

A very interesting idea I must say. Even though I am a part of a crafting guild, I would join this just to simplify the research process. Right now, I probably have 10-15 inventory slots dedicated to weapons and armor that have traits I have yet to research. I figure that eventually I would run across a point where I just won't have an item with a trait I need and will have to pay some outragious price for it on the guild auction house.

It could be a good place to dump excess motifs. The price on the main 9 have dropped considerably since release to the point where you don't even want to waste your time trying to sell them. Only Imperial still seems to hold its value.

As for the rare other five ... I don't even know what they all are yet. I know about Ancient Elf, Deadra, and Primal. Don't know the other two yet.

I would find this very useful as well. The "take one, give one" model is great - though of course you'd have to figure out how to deal with members who abused it.

That is the beauty of it all. Even if somebody does "ravish" the bank, your losses are mininal to the guild. Make level 2 items with a trait, and the sell value of the item is virtually zero. Somebody could go in and wipe it clean just out of spite, but why bother with the trouble when you would need 100s of storage spaces to hold all the items.

Somebody could make the argument that somebody would wipe the bank simply to destroy the items for the crafting xp, but again with level 2 items you simply might not get enough XP to make it worth the trouble.

To me this is one of those experiments for experimental sake. You start out small and you see where it goes.

That is why I the items will only be level 1 items. They will be cheap and easy to replace. But the way to monitor would be just to keep an eye on the guild log.

But I am glad in getting an overall positive response to this idea. I'll make this guild tonight and if people would like to join it they should send me an I game mail and I will invite them. My user ID is @vexian28

Just refreshing this thread to see if anyone else would be interested in a guild based off this idea. Need atleast 10 for it to even work since that's the magic number to unlock the guild bank

I'll send you a mail in game. Because they finally fixed my forum name, I didn't get an email when someone quoted me (melifoonub...), and I didn't see the rest of the thread right away!
