Hakkvilds/Erstwhile Lighting Bug -- Does anyone know how to fix? Pls help :(

So Hakkvilds and Erstwhile both suffer from certain "enchanted" lighting not showing their full light upon zoning into a house. I've tried resetting and turning off all of my add-ons to no avail, and multiple friends of mine have the same issues in their own versions of these houses. CERTAIN friends zoning into my home are also unable to see lights unless they manage to alt+f4 out of the game and log back in directly into my Hakkvilds. Strangely, it is not all of them-- only a choice few. The lights also fix themselves when they are removed and then replaced.

This is.. onerous.. considering the amount of money and time spent, but here we are. I've posted numerous times on the forums and posted numerous tickets, but have never heard back.

Does anyone here have any fixes that I can try? Graphics settings, etc?

I don't really want to replace my lights because I love them when they do work, so if there's any other workaround that you guys know of, I would be really appreciative!

I haven't tried those houses but i know that the varla stone lights can turn off in the first room of hall of the lunar champion which is really annoying

I believe it's due to one of these two Graphics settings:
'Maximum Particle Systems' and 'Particle Suppression Distance'.

Try zoning into your homes with these two settings cranked up high, to check if that makes a difference. This fixed my issue regarding unlit candles on some chandeliers I had placed in the far back of my houses a while ago, but not sure if it will work on the Enchanted Lights too. I know a lot of people have bugged out Culanda/Varla Stones in their Hall of the Lunar Champion and Jode's Embrace's lunar realm too.

Yeah, as bluebird says, it's tied to the view distance. I noticed it in Lunar Champ hall because when you take a portal you are actually just being moved farther away from the other rooms, not to a new instance. So any lighting that is 'always on' like enchanted lights will often dim out from distance and then not light back up when moving back closer.

Turning the settings up can help, but sometimes they make no difference as there seems to be hard cut offs for distance no matter what. They really should recode these type of lighting to be always on in homes IMO.

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately I already play with max particle systems and suppression distances turned all the way up all the time, so there's not anything to be done there. Playing with viewing distance also did nothing to fix the issue. :(

Would it really be as easy as just making it so they're on all the time? I don't really have any experience with coding or anything so is there a reason they couldn't do something like that?

Just want to chime in to say that the Hunter's Glade has the same issue on Playstation 4, where I can't even tweak the setting to start with. Considering that my glade is an enchanted forest filled with hundreds of (very expensive) glowing mushrooms, the bug is extremely frustrating. I've reported the bug, with screenshots, multiple times over the years (yes, YEARS), and have yet to get a single response or even acknowledgement that the bug exists.

YES, I feel this so much. My Hakkvild's also has an enchanted forest theme and this bug literally breaks the entire concept. :(

I really hope they say something or acknowledge it soon. Somehow it seems even more ridiculous because several of the affected houses are solely crown store purchases. You'd think they'd want them to work?
