simple fix..everyone who is present at the last boss gets the completion for the pledge. Not the dungeon quest...but the pledge.

You could do that, but the problem is that sometimes people kick people to invite their guildie, just to do the last boss and doing what you suggest might make that practice even more common.

there simply should be a checkmark option if you are fine with doing dungeons that already have started.
it's a design flaw, which the game has more of than any other mmos i know.
hell, these are the devs that made the bg queue single only.
these are the devs that buffed dots by 60%, telling everyone they know what they do and they have a plan, then nerfed them by almost the same amount a few month later.
these are the devs.. i could go on for hours.
just understand that they are not really capable of making sensible and smart decisions, and you will have an easier time in eso.

Yep, it's stupid. They could've at least make sure that you get the active pledge completion if you get pulled into a half finished dungeon. But like @VaranisArano said, don't play with random people. Don't tell me that you haven't made any friends in 2 years.

Some of us are quite introverted, even when playing this game. Sorry we don't live up to your social standards.

What are you doing in front of a computer playing a game anyway if you are so social?

@Dusk_Coven You can literally solo all base game dungeons except the one that used to be soloable before they changed pads not to unlock solo

I just got pulled into an 50-80% finished DLC vet dungeon. Why would I want to help the good people in the dungeon? My Pledge will not be completed.
Apart from WGT and ICP, I believe all DLC pledges only require that you kill the last boss, so you're wrong on that count. You're also over-dramatic and ignoring the fact that if you can't get pulled into a halfway completed dungeon, you also can't get a replacement in case someone leaves. Want to make sure you get the perfect run? Make your own group. Otherwise, you get what you get.

Lots of good points on both sides of this here. The one thing I didn't people are thinking about from a quick skim is *why* is the group missing a person. It's usually because they kicked someone, in which case I have zero sympathy, or because someone quit, which doesn't exactly make me want to join their group.

Put bluntly, this isn't just about getting put in groups where you don't get pledge credit, it's about getting put in problem groups that you're probably not going to want to be in in the first place.

Of course, people do get "disconnected". But I can't help but note that when I was doing dungeons regularly, I got pulled into partially finished vets about ten times more often than partially finished normals. It's just so incredibly uncommon on normal, that I really think of it as a vet issue and it's overwhelmingly people quitting / getting kicked / logging.

Personally, that takes me to letting people check a box to opt out of partially finished's - and maybe as well letting them specifically ask to be put in one of they're feeling heroic and /or want helms. Give the player looking for a group the choice.

I just did "Cradle of Shadows" got two joins where people were 50:ish finished. I quit both joins and got a "15" min "cooldown".
WHY SHOULD I A NEW PLEDGE PLAYER GET A 15 MINUTES COOL DOWN, for not wanting to join a dungeon I get no creed for????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

You got a cooldown because by quitting on that group, you just wasted their time. The cooldown gives you a reason to give them a fair shot for 15 minutes, at which point your cooldown is up and you can move on if you want. Or you can ask to be kicked.

Also, it prevents dungeon-hopping as I mentioned above, trying to quit out hard dungeons and get an easier one for your Daily Random.

Simple solution: make only the last boss mandatory to finish a pledge.

Suddenly people will be so happy to join an already 80% finished dungeon! :p

One purpose of a random grop finder is to find replacements. If you don't like it don't solo que random.

It's same in other games: first time I ever qued random normal dungeon as a tank in my ex mmo I landed to dungeon final boss with folks who apparently had been trying for 3/4h until their previous tank left and did not use chat and did not interrupt mechanic which - if not interrupted - one shots non tanks.

I did not leave, I just let them lay ded while I very very slowly soloed the boss.

DLC dungeons are the least popular content. You are best to not need to do them. Skip pledges for them. Leave if one pops as your daily random. Your life will be much easier the faster you ignore all dlc dungeons. The only people who do them really have nothing better to do. Like streamers who only stream doing the same thing over and over every day of the week while they speak in a monotone braindead voice.

That's not really true. Lots of DLC dungeons are (very) easy on normal mode.

Maarselok, Cradle of Shadows, Mazzatun, Scalecaller to name a few.. piece of cake, even with a pug.
Frostvault and Unhallowed aren't all that bad either - once you know the trick.

While some veteran HM dungeons from the base game can be pretty tricky, like Banished Cells 2, CoA 2.

    Simple solutions

    1. Pledges can only be considered done when doing last boss
    2. If you leave (not booted) you cannot do another pledge until you have completed the one you started on
    3. If you leave, 10 min penalty, if you are locked - 0 penalty
    4. Make 2 random queues - dlc and non dlc - the dlc gives you an extra xp bonus though
Time to stop pandering To every need tbh

I'm an introvert too, but I managed to find a group of people I'm comfortable playing with. There's a difference between limiting your social circle and being unable to form connections. Introvert != asocial.

And nice gatekeeping there. As if extroverts are not allowed to play video games.
