Can i become vampire in new Greymoor area?

I wish to start a new character and become a new vampire during my travels on the new areas during my story there.

Is this possible in any other way than buying the Skill line from store or do i need to go and do it the old fashioned way on one of the old altars?

Reason? I want to become vampire as part of that characters story, on that area, not purposefully go out of there to get it and then back there.

Nope. The store and the old altars are your only options...which is immersion-breaking, I agree.

They make it difficult to get vamp without the cashstore to boost sales.

Sadly im sure its working for them.

To OP;
You'll have to venture out to the original zone alters or vampire bite from specific mobs

I was hoping something in the ways like Skyrim had in that Vampire hunting DLC but i guess i have to think for another story for that character then..

That was what i was afraid of, but i guess i can make it work since i want to see the new vampire quest too. If it has ben changed that is..

For the store thing... Im not sure.. Some may buy it, but the last time i got a bite was quite easy. I went to Rift altar and left my character sleeping on that altar and when i came back, she was bit without even being in a group.. Not sure if that works anymore though, but theres always people willing to bite for free including my existing vamp

Players do give Vamp/WW bites free. I do (when I actually login and play). Find the Bangkorai or The Rift Altar / Shrine and ask on zone chat. Also pairs of wild infecting bloodfiends or werewolves spawn on Bangorai, Reaper's March or The Rift after midnight on several consecutive ingame nights on one of several possible locations each week or so. In night when one spawn other does not, and appears it's not properly random but biased so searching wild bite can be an exercise in frustration. (No need to fight/kill em, just aggro and let the BF/WW damage you and run away, then check your char has acquired the infection/blessing.)
