The plot advancing forward time-wise from 2E 582 (aka the year every baddie decided to invade and conquer the world) with a conclusion to the Alliance War. Cyrodiil PVP moving to another zone, some kind of civil war idk. Now that would be something lol.

Based on reading the forums, any change whatsoever is guaranteed to make at least one person somewhere lose their mind over it. 🤣

Hypothetical Example:

“Fixed spelling issues in description of Ancient Nord Drinking Mug.”

Some Player: “Oh, my God, no!! You should have been working on lag issues, not worrying about spelling! Eeeiighhh!” <loses mind>

yeah good for the game and solve most issues with performance as well, but it would as well ruin the fun for those wanting to fight real people and enjoy the competitive element of the game.

- Actually consistently communicate with the players about what we have been saying.
(Easy to comment on bug fixes but everything else seems like a big no no until it reaches a tipping point).

If they changed the max rating for armor from 160 to something higher so that everybody would have to re-armor every single character.

That was kind of the point... I mean everyone knows games like this have an expiration date. What would cause people to lose their minds is that they just released greymoor (hell ps4 wont even get it till the 10th) and aren't giving refunds. It was really just a wild thought. Not that it's something they would actually do.

If you read TOS, it’s actually not wild. It’s clearly states there that they may make game unavailable for any reason at any time and that any intellectual property remains theirs. So no, in any event of any game ever shutting down with similar or same TOS was ever giving out refunds.

That is true, however realistic unless Bethesda manages to nuke elder scrolls worse than fallout 76 as in add Disney star wars.
You will still play ESO in 2030, yes game would probably be on maintenance mode but ESO is relevant as an single player game the same way Tes 3 Morrowind is.

Orisinium canonically takes place a year after the Planemeld. When you meet up with Abnur Tharn he definitely talks to as if some time has passed since Molag Bal. same goes for the other companions.
For all intents and purposes Elsweyr takes place years after you stopped Molag Bal.

Two reasons why Zenimax dropped the required subscription.
1. The required subscription and traditional MMO financial format was not popular upon release.
2. Consoles already require a subscription in order to play online, they did not want to discourage console players from getting into their game.

Since the change to an optional subscription their game has been more alive than ever.

I was a loyal subscriber even before the plus option but it seems that this current format of using the money store to fund the project has become the most optimal way to keep the game running.

They could make it so Maelstrom weapons drop in normal, and add new "perfected versions" to vMA, and not upgrade the existing weapons of anyone who already has them.
