Did they add something like that to WoW? Honest question. Certainly wasn't there at the time I left, so if they did it would have to have been after that.
Uhm...no? If you mean Heirlooms, that's different. Heirlooms level passively alongside your character but they're not the most powerful item for your level (people wear them for the xp boost and the convenience of not having to replace your gear), and it caps out at max level and becomes useless for endgame.asuitandtyb14_ESO wrote: »yesDid they add something like that to WoW? It is probably not worth the trouble. Most people just shoot through levels in a week or two using whatever junk they can find so that they can start collecting the "real" gear at the end. You would have to introduce a whole new game mechanic that would hardly get used.
In secret world it works because there are no high level drops, everything drops at level 1 and you have to level it up after.

I have played other MMOs where items had no level tier and it didn’t matter which character wore it. That was a decent system also. They constantly had to churn out content as a low level could sit and wait in high level zones and get unwanted trash gear for end game on a low level as long as he made it there safely. Most items were not bound to your character so you could trade it when you outgrew it also. Gear eventually broke Or rotted on corpses and left the game.
Played another game that let you “twink” a low level character with good gear in level ranges. That MMO tended to make everything BOP to keep their economy in check. (Same as ESO does)
