We can all agree we love ESO.. Your combat system is the most fun out of any game out there, your community is always active, your lore is amazing, quests are great, pvp is easily the best in any game ever made. You spend all this time with expansions, crown items, you keep us engaged.. BUT.... [snip].. Each maintenance patch you guys do, you destroy something else... The game would be hands down the most popular and greatest mmo to date if you just fixed the [snip] lag. I hate that i love this broken game so much...

They’re also destroying the things that make the combat so good and only going to continue to do so.

i never understood why they nerf abilities or gear to the point where noone wants to use them anymore. But trash is an extreme word.

ESO appears to be layer upon layer of 'It just Works' and they just added another layer (a thin one) on the wobbling spaghetti cake. I honestly do not believe ZoS can fix the game to smoothly playable state. They appear to not have documentation, resources, time and budget for it.

Getting unnecessary changes instead of needed fixes is adequately explained by the fact it is much easier to tweak than fix things.

Would be so fine game if it worked. Too bad.

    I definitely agree. I still can't get over the fact that when they're showcasing an overhaul on the livestreams anymore that they can't;
    1. Show off the actual skills because nobody cares about the collector's mount.
    2. Take community questions while the relevant developer was there instead of mass-moderating the twitch stream.

I'll always be salty about that.

I know ZOS wont get one more dime from me until the servers are stable.. if i could get 150 ping constantly it would be amazing, at this time 400 ping is average for me. >.>

I actually liked TES:V's combat. It felt "real", more physical. Arrows were actually projectiles with physics. When you swung a blade at an NPC the game actually felt like you were hitting it. In ESO the range of a melee weapon is so long that you can light attack at a targeted enemy with visible empty space between your blade and the NPC's body and the game will still register a hit anyway. It's almost, arcadey, cartoony. I've been putting up with it all because I love the Elder Scrolls world, I love the story telling and the exploration.

or how about the wolves the bite you from 10 feet away. Or the Magic npc's that can hit you with magic through a wall or curve their magic so you can't dodge it.That's skill

Sorry but I disagree that ESO PVP is the best ever made. Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC) was. We had real reasons to PVP (Realm Pride, Relics that mattered, and Darkness Falls). Nothing matched the battles of being holed up in the lords room waiting for the enemy's final push. I'd say even Warhammer might have been better. At least they had collision detection where you could actually put a shield wall to hold off attackers when the gates when down. I even think they they're BGs were a lot more fun and had more people. I also think the Combat system here is average. There are quite a few in the past that made me feel more engaged in combat. If you want a good Pro for your list, I'd suggest the beauty and detail in the game world. Not many MMOs can touch that aspect of ESO. The quests are good as well. Probably better than most MMOs. It's just a shame they usually fall flat due to faceroll difficulty.

I am admittedly on console - but when I saw the state of PC on release day (and since) & took a minute to put it in perspective - I nearly cried when I got a refund for the CE I bought the minute it was available for purchase after the reveal livestream in January. I happily and excitedly bought all the other CE Chapters.

We’ll see how long my resistance lasts after Antiquities Leads I won’t be able to complete, start clogging up my log & with their 30-day deletion ticks - but for now, I broke free... but it freakin’ suuuuuucks.

Good news is the antiques crap goes to journal. But the loss of craftbag (sub cancelled) - and subsequent halt to crafting / gathering....well that was an enjoyable part of the game.

The main problem ZOS have is that they don't listen to the player base at all. I have never ever seen so many people complaining on the forums about broken things in any MMO game I have played. (15 years worth of playing)

If you have a quick look down the left hand side of the columns on the forum page where you can see an ZOS employee has commented (i'm assuming this function was put in place so people can see when their questions have been answered).. the majority (75%+) are just ZOS employees mentioning about what they have removed from the thread, there is never an actual answer from them. An amazing example was the PVP forum where a thread reached 100+ pages before being shut down for something stupid where there was 1 reply in the entire thread. Pathetic and embarrassing, if I was an invester in Bethseda i would be concerned in the direction the company is going.

Instead of being a top 3 MMO it's not far from falling out of the top 5.

I agree, amazing template and vision but poor choices and execution have held it back for a long time. Pushing expansion of a game that can't handle it and fixing things that don't need to be fixed while major bugs sit for years.

Combat system .. not my favourite. It's ok'ish.

Not being able to target stuff (as healer) can be annnoying.
Two bars with 6 skills is a bit limited
The fact that the vast majority of skills are close range makes it a bit of a skirmish game.
Predictable mobs and not a lot of room for improvisation is a bit meh
Mobs that fire through walls is also not really that convincing
No real useful CC class makes it all a bit simple.
    .. and so on.
