To farm or not to farm . . . that is the question!

So I've been working on a build for Solo Magplar PVE. The author suggests the iceheart monster set, and he recommends getting heavy pieces, I guess for greater protection. I got the shoulders in heavy, but the head piece in heavy remains elusive. I keep getting light. The last run I did, I got light, but it had the Impen trait on it (the author recommends divines on all pieces). I thought, well, that's pretty good, impen is good for protection! but the question remains, is an impen light piece as protective as a heavy piece with Divines? Is it worth it to keep farming for that heavy? Am I a fool to keep fussing about this?
As an added benefit to the light impen head, I would save transmute crystals by sticking with that!

Inpen offers different protection than the resistance armor provides. They really are not comparable. Resistance reduces incoming damage. Inpen reduces the amount of crit bonus damage an attack does but the attack has to crit and it only modifies the bonus damage, not the base damage.

Edit: I missed that last word in the first sentence, PvE. Well, forgot about it when I saw inpen. Danksta is correct that inpen is useless in PvE.

NPCs cannot crit. Ok, some have in the past but it was corrected. Also, for magicka builds in PvE the common armor weight setup is 5L, 1H, 1M to get the full benefit from the undaunted passives. Not sure why this elusive author is suggesting more than one heavy armor pieces.

Also, you are running solo. You will be fine with a heavy shoulder and medium head. Go enjoy the game.

Molag Bal can crit when he grabs you at the very end of the story. Other then that nope.

Thanks, all! Yeah, I knew that NPCs can't crit. What I didn't know is that Impen trait is solely designed to prevent the bonus damage from crits. I thought it had a more global damage prevention aspect to it. And yes, it does make sense to get medium head for undaunted passive.
