extreme lags overland PC EU

Horrendous in Blackreach. Almost unplayable.

Edited: OK much better now out of prime time and I think something else might have been working on my PC at the time unfortunately.

They do know and are investigating. I haven’t seen it this bad outside of Cyrodiil like ever.

Wtf is there to investigate? Their servers can't handle the load.

They need to investigate how to fix that without spending any money on the servers.

Same thing for me on PC/NA, ping has been stuck 300-500 for a few hours now.

Nearly midnight in Europe so server pop should be dropping some. EU still completely unplayable due to lap, desync and high ping. So server pop seems to have little to nothing to do with this.

Rift is completely frozen. Had to slug to wayshrine and escape to Vvardenfell. The only thing not lagging terribly are the antiquities digsites for some reason.

Shadowfen around 200-300 ping, port to the Rift gave me whole new experience of constant 900-999 for all time spent there - flying mammoths, glitchy players, extreme desync etc. But porting to dungeon gave me like 70-90 at max the whole run. Back to overland and back to high ping.

Would love support telling me again that i need to contact my isp and reboot a router.

On PC-NA, Blackreach is awful to unplayable at times. Western Skyrim is mostly bad until you try to do harrow's or WB.

In other zones it's been mostly ok.

Was part of this very wb fight yesterday. Surprised you could move around so fast. My character moved in extreme slowmo and just stood around waving hands with no skill going off through most of it

yes, lag happening here - also long long load screens e.g. when moving between outlaw refuge and vivec city.
Interestingly, I'm also having a lot of lag just using these elderscrolls forums at the moment. WTF?

I've never experienced lag and desync like today, it's really bad. I usually get some lag overland anyway, but I was running CoH earlier and my ping was anywhere between 400 to 2002 (not a typo). Abilities firing 3 seconds later or not at all, bosses blinking out of existence, getting hit by AOE I was 5 feet away from... Quit halfway through, I was just hurting myself.

The thing is pvp in this game is a small niche population. People might wish otherwise, but the number of pvp'ers is minuscule compared to pve'ers and overland players. Those roleplayers and causal gamers you all despise so much is the bread and butter of this game, unlike pvp'ers. When they start to get hit and hit bad enough to leave and bad mouth the game? That's when ZOS will be forced to do something.
So maybe now performance will see some improvement and fast, who knows?

And wouldn't it be a delicious irony if decent performance in pvp is something that group will owe those casuals and roleplayers many of them so hate?

How about instead of only accepting a partially working game, you expect ZOS to fix it so everyone an enjoy what part of the game it is they enjoy without being told "well what I'm doing works now so lol sucks to be you have fun not being able to do what you like reliably"?
